DSA interview questions
for next year dsa parents.
heard this question was asked last year dsa; it was asked at least to my daughter this year. so guess it’s one of the default questions. it goes some thing like this:
"how many schools you registered for dsa?"
the school is nygh. our answer is 1. -
any idea about these schools?
- Blangah Rise Primary
- Cantonment Primay
- Park View Primary
these schools start morning session at 8am according to their websites. wondering if it crushes with parents’ working rush? delays kids’ coming back? causes traffic problem in their areas? -
RE: how much sleep do you really need?

The 8.5hrs need not be continuous stretch.. mebbe you can try afternoon nap to make up some of it.. esp if you hv the luxury of being an SAHM.[/quote]huh?5mp:
[quote=\"Mawar\"]I can cut down on some things but I must have my beauty sleep. If I don't get my 8.5 hours, I will not be able to function.
same here.
but i need to clear things after kids go to bed. i usually can only start Zzz after 10.30pm, and wake up by alarm at 5.30am. so rarely get 8.5, that's why i buzz here.
and i believe i am not buzz for myself.
SAHM = Stay At Home Mom? no leh...
i'm WAOD = Working At Office Dad

just don't want to wake them up at 5.30am but can't be even later otherwise they will not able to catch 6.10am school bus. -
how much sleep do you really need?
There is no magic number. It's important to pay attention to your own individual needs by assessing how you feel on different amounts of sleep: what your body is saying about your sleep needs.
In general, below table identifies the \"rule-of-thumb\" amounts most experts have agreed upon.
Age**************************Sleep Needs
Newborns (<=2months)******12-18 hours
Infants (3 ~ 11 months)******14-15 hours
Toddlers (1~3 years)*********12-14 hours
Preschoolers (3~5 years)******11-13 hours
[flash=]School-age kids (5~10 years)**10-11 hours [/flash]
[flash=]Teens (10~17 yeaars)********8.5-9.25 hours [/flash]
Adults************************7-9 hours

Can Singapore school morning session start at 8am? -
RE: why most of primary students start morning session before 8?
i try to let my kids go to bed latest by 9.30pm, so that they can have theoratically 8 hours sleep since they need to wake up at 5.30am to catch 6.10am school bus and reach school at around 7.10am.
my 9.30 fails more and more frequently this year since p6 homework getting more and more. we don’t eat out; my kids don’t do shopping with parents; my p6 girl has one cca on friday; her school ends 1.30pm and the shool bus brings her home around 2.30pm; she has one tuition on sunday 1pm-2pm.
i write more and feel sad more, for my kids and all -

As long as kids have 8 hours of sleep daily, I am fine. Unfortunately when come to sec school, this is never happening.

i guess 8 hours' sleep for kids is not enough...
