I really think that Smartphone is the terminator of deep relationships. Whenever I am in restaurant, cafe or even coffee shop, there are bound to be couples who stare at their phone playing Facebook, Whatsapp or games instead of talking to their partners. Then why go for one on one dinner in first place.
No connection was made. Everyone is in their own digital world. I wonder will it come a day where people Whatsapp each other when face to face.

I feel that doing exercise first thing in the morning before work helps to keep me alert throughout the day.
Avoid reading non-fiction, reading from smart phone or iPad or watching TV at least half an hour before sleep. They stimulate the mind, making it harder to relax. It may result in poor quality sleep.
The optimal sleeping hours is said to be 1.5 hours interval. 6 hours, 7.5 hours or 9 hours. 1.5 hours is how long it takes to finish one sleep cycle. Waking early or later than it is like waking on the wrong side of the bed. -

One of the best way to slim down is to remove sugared water from your life.
One step further is to remove junk food also. They are made of mainly sugar and simple carbohydrates that are absorbed by the body quickly.
Exercising can be difficult for some people especially for those who are severely overweight or the ones with injuries. Like my wife, due to her ligament tear, I encourage her to do cardio weights training instead of exercises that require vigorous leg movement. Or go slow long walk with her, taking rest whenever she doesn't feel right.
Slow carb diet may be the remedy for those who wants to lose weight without exercising. In nutshell, slow carb diet basically wants you to avoid white bread, white rice, potatoes, and other white carbs. Anything that looks white and are not vegetables.

I do know it is extremely difficult to maintain such diet especially in Singapore. I will recommend going step by step. I started with 3 eggs (without yolk), beans and spinach for breakfast everyday. No carbs for dinner.

I sleep early everyday and do an exercise program called Insanity 6 days per week. It basically make me pant and sweat like a dog :evil:. Health fanatics can try it out. Its a crazy calorie burner.
I eat about 5 to 6 small meals (Huge breakfast and small dinner). It helps to prevent my body from going into starvation mode and allows it to have enough fuel throughout to help me perform at my optimal. At least 3 servings of vegetables in meals.
Lastly, my wife and I check out the label before buying. Vegetables from China *crossed*, ingredients include MSG *crossed*, lots of sugar *crossed* and preservatives *crossed*.

I agree with sembgal totally. Check diligently for your child's possible vision problem.When it comes to kids eyesight, every seconds and minutes count. The delay in waiting for appointment can result in the eye condition to worsen and underlying eye problems can only be detected by ophthalmologist. Detection in its early stage can prevent myopia as well as lazy eyes. One of the best advice which was given to me. What is more precious than our child's eyes? Myopia can turn into lazy eye. Lazy eye can turn into blindness.
Many parents thought that their children with lazy eye will grow out of it. When they realized that it is not, it became too late. My cousin now has a lazy eye which is over 1000 degree and the doctor said that it will go blind eventually and there is no way to recover it. It also affected the other eye as it is overstrained since she used it for all visual work (squinting too much).
The earlier help is offered, the better chance of recovery. They deserve the best
