@sharonkhoo I am thinking of switching to female practitioners, as women’s health becomes more complex when we age! But I think ultimately it’s about finding a personality fit, and someone with attention to detail, as well as empathy.

I’m 38 and started medical weight loss after struggling with diet and exercise. My BMI was over 27.5, so Dr Tan at Dr Tan Medical Center discussed a medical weight loss programme with me, including medication such as an appetite suppressant. I lost weight gradually and found the Best weight loss doctor in Singapore helpful for keeping me on track.

@mamabear26 hello! for my husband, his flat feet caused inward rolling, ankle pain and tired feet after standing for long periods. he was diagnosed with flat feet and overpronation, and Dr Yung Shing Wai helped him with flatfoot surgery. his walking improved during recovery, and we’re grateful to have him as our trusted foot surgeon in Singapore. getting it checked early really made a difference for him.️‍🩹

Hello! Dr Wong Jen San does gallbladder surgery for gallstones. My sister had her gallbladder removed by him, and Dr Wong Jen San and his team were really supportive with her post operative care and follow ups. She recovered well, and I’m glad we had a doctor who could guide her through the treatment and recovery process. Hope this helps in some way! 🤍

My mum had obesity and was advised to consider surgery because her weight was affecting her health and she was at higher risk of developing diabetes. We consulted Dr Shanker, a Bariatric Surgeon in Singapore, and he recommended surgery based on her condition. She had a sleeve gastrectomy, which helped with significant weight loss and managing her weight better.

Glad to share my experience with Dr Luke Tan. After my sinus surgery, I had some congestion and blood-tinged discharge for the first few days, which gradually improved. I was able to return to lighter daily activities within about 1–2 weeks, although the sinuses continued healing for several more weeks. I had my surgery at his Sinus Clinic in Singapore and followed the post-surgery care instructions and saline rinses as advised.

I had the LINX procedure because my persistent acid reflux was not improving enough with medication and lifestyle changes. It works by placing a small ring of magnetic beads around the lower oesophageal sphincter, helping reduce stomach acid from flowing back into the oesophagus while still allowing food and liquid to pass when swallowing. I had it done by Dr Shanker, a LINX Surgeon in Singapore, after discussing the treatment options with him.

For those who had double eyelid surgery, how did you decide between the suture and incisional method?
