@ilovemychildrens89 hello! yes, i would definitely take him to see a doctor if the heel pain keeps coming back and he is limping after football. my 12-year-old had pain at the back of his heel and started limping after training. Dr Yung Shing Wai, our trusted ankle surgeon in Singapore, assessed his condition and recommended surgery to address the problem. seeing him gave us peace of mind because we knew our son was getting the right surgical care for his heel. i would 100% recommend Dr Yung if your child is experiencing something similar.

@mamabear26 I was worried about managing the preparation with my kids too, but it turned out to be more manageable than I expected. I had constipation, bloating, and occasional bleeding, and was eventually diagnosed with haemorrhoids. Dr Chew Min Hoe performed my colonoscopy and later did haemorrhoid surgery when needed, which helped me deal with the symptoms properly. Looking back, I’m really glad I decided to consult a colon specialist in Singapore instead of putting it off. Honestly, this is your sign to get that colonoscopy done haha, especially if you’ve been worrying about it for ages
  • Bullying across schools... But not all schools are the same

@rinsider We had a discussion about this last night, with some friends (also parents)! Among our group, we have one neighbourhood sec school teacher and one allied educator. Some points: Girls bully as well, so what’s the punitive measures for them, and are these effective? Or we are sticking with less-effective measures for girls, due to their perceived physical vulnerability? What teachers see on the ground: the victim may not be adequately supported, especially if they are bullied in their graduating year and leave the school after that. Gentler measures such as corrective work don’t have much effect. Getting teens to help out in school (e.g. cleaning toilets) requires plenty of time and effort from already overstretched teachers. It’s unrealistic/unfair to expect teachers to do double-duty as therapists, coaches. Teachers are not experts in behavioural change. Perhaps every school needs a dedicated team to handle these non-academic challenges, not just a handful of counsellors? Will school caning, the way it is currently carried out, really serve as a bullying deterrent, or is it performative? We talked about the whistleblowing aspect as well. We know of teachers who are alerted to fights and they personally intervene. But not everyone has that relationship with their students, and that’s not a real solution. We also talked about victims, especially male victims, who may not talk to anyone about what they’re facing.

If itch is the cause, resolve this before trying to make it into a behavioural issue. Genitals can get itchy when not washed properly or when the area is sensitive to the type of underwear or diaper used. Boys or girls can sit in a tub of lukewarm water (just covering the genitals), mixed with a few drops of potassium permanganate solution (in Guardian, they call this the wound disinfectant solution). This purple solution helps to disinfect and reduces itching of the genitals. Very effective.

Flowermonaster:Ichigokun:@Flowermonaster; Yahlor. I sometimes get bored in the toilet so I take something inside to do while taking a crap.E.g: Facebooking/Reading etc.Sometimes if I haven't finished my homework then I have the sudden urge to take a crap, I take the homework then go crap while doing it. LOL.Save time Hi Ichigokun, it's actually not very healthy to do that but I am not going to nag because I am guilty of that too. Sometimes in the morning when my parents keep asking me to wake up to go to school. I'm really tired and they keep nagging. So I go into the toilet to sit on the toilet bowl and sleep for another 5-10 minutes. XDOf course sleeping on the toilet bowl isn't as comfortable as sleeping on the bed lah... but... just sleep lor. LOL

My ds had his circumcision at Sidek clinic @ Eastpoint. http://www.sidekclinic.com/The procedure was over in 15 minutes, and ds was given a cert and goodie bag after that. It costs us less than $100 as the rest was payable thru medisave.
