Hi genki2. The first term is usu quite ok. Project works will kick in from second term and it can be quite a fair bit for the boys. As for homework, you will see more of it after SA1.

      Hi Sparks,

ACSB grooms their boys very well. Most of the boys are outspoken, confident and well-rounded. At the same time, they are also equally cheeky and opinionated. My boy came from a mission Primary school but the school culture + environment are far from ACSB. ACSB makes the boys feel that they are at home in school and the ACSB boys always take care of their junior boys. The teachers are very approachable and understanding. As ACSB is a boy school, they tend to have a bigger appetite to stomach the boys nonsense and more forgiving. So I believe your boy will have a different experience in ACSB as compared to his primary school.

There is a bus stop sitting right infront of ACSB and your boy is likely to take a bus to Newton station so you don’t need to worry. Yes, the Principal is good and that is the reason why I decided to put my son in ACSB. My boy is in Sec 2 next year and so far, he is very happy and his friends are very helpful. The feeder boys are very caring and they accepted my son on the first day in school. As long as the current Principal is in charge, I have a lot of faith in this school to help my son to be a well-rounded person.

Based on my experience, you should put ACSB as first choice and submit the appeal concurrently before the school posting results.

My son has got into ACSB without affiliation or DSA. I must say this is a good school and the principal is a great man! Go for it.

My boy has been posted to Kuo Chuan Presbyterian. Any feedback on this school? The school has a tired look from the outside. I am not sure if the teachers are dedicated. Pls advise.

My kid PSLE score was 227. I am thinking if he should go to Presbyterian High or Kuo Chuan Presbyterian or ACS Baker. Any views?
