RE: Tuition / Enrichment at Secondary level
I agree. Nowadays students want tuition themselves too. However, teacher must be able to motivate too I feel. My bro's daughter enrolled in Stalford and she did v well for both math. Her amaths went from f9 to a2 within her sec 3 year. However, tutor has left center due to recent promotion in sch. My brother's daughter didn't seem as motivated thereafter so we had to get him to privately coach her. Was impressed by her overall :rahrah: change in attitude towards the subject.

RE: All About Market Rates of Private Tutors
I must admit I personally have no children yet but my elder brother’s has a daughter. Manage to find this tutor working in a tuition centre to tutor her. Tutor was also from a top school in the west. I must say I am greatly impressed with how much she has improved. When she first enrolled in his class in sec 3, she failed both A and E math and almost wanted to drop Amath. At the end of sec 3, she got an A1 for Emath and B3 for Amath. What really impressed me the most was her renewed motivation to excel in the subject. We were worried when we found out that this tutor left the centre when she was in sec4. Managed to get his contact and hired him as a private tutor. In the end, she scored both A1s. His rates were not very expensive. In my opinion, good tutors are not hard to find and neither are they expensive. Just a matter of chance!
