    • RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

      lim_ks:
I have been thinking of sending my P1 & K1 to TienHsia due to the travel distance needed to Xuelin. From Thomsom to Katong! However after sending my P2 to Xuelin for 2 lessons, I believe it's worthwhile if they can keep my gal's passion for learning Chinese burning!! It's not an easy to substain, once they have a lousy teacher for a given year; that's IT! Gone....My gal looks forward to Xuelin's class and her feedback for the 1st lesson is that they dun have to do a lot of homework yet she can learns a lot.. Thus I am arranging with them to open P2, P1 and K1 simultaneously. Seems difficult but I am still pushing.....

Pls can you pm me the number to xl at Katong pls? Thank you vm

If you are still looking, I know an experienced tutor. She teaches Pre-school to Secondary school students. She has been teaching for about 21 years. 13 years in mainland china and 8 in Singapore. She is patient and loves children. After my children was taught by her, they were able to attain A1 for their express chinese O paper and A stars for their PSLE chinese paper. As of what I know, many of her other students have done well for their chinese under her. She also has experience in teaching at tuition centres in Singapore If you are interested, please pm me for more details.

      Hi,

To those who have successfully applied to the school via Phase 2B using the SHHK membership, does the # of years count? I have joined SHHK coming to 3 years but i am not a very active member as in i only attend 3-4 events per year. Does that give me lesser chance? appreciate your reply. Thanks
Newbie here. Didn't see a reply to this qn. Can someone advise pls? Also, I just joined the clan earlier this year, what do you reckon my chances at kong hwa for next year's registration pls? Any idea? And if there's chance, what more should I do as a member to increase my chances of the recommendation letter? Appreciate your feedback.

When you join a RC, you are 1st an observer. It takes between half to a year to become an executive member. It is when you start being an executive member that your term as a GRL starts.

And you need to be an EM for a full year in order to secure the recommendation letter.

So all in all, you need to join the RC about 2 years before registration.

:scared: i see.. Thanks for enlightening.. There goes my chances.. 😢

But sorry, no idea what schools are within Mountbatten SMC.
BTW, how old is your child?

U r too late to join RC.[/quote]Hi, I read somewhere that you need to join at least by 1july the year before registration which means if we join now for next year's registration, it should till be ok.. No?
