DS sports dsa waitlist to Swiss converted to confirmed offer. Yeah!

My kid received 2 WL for the sports domain in Swiss and ACI barker. We have to weigh the pros & cons on which school should we choose in end Oct. Tough decision…

Hi, how do we know if the school has open house? See banner from outside the school?

No reply so reposting, hope like minded parents can share more information with me.


Need advice here, will be registering for DS next yr for Pri 1, headache over which sch will be more suitable. DS has no patience in writing stuffs, bring back homework & he will write & say very tired, I don’t think he knows how to read now, can spell some words but always lazy to learn… I have listed some schools for considerations. Can anyone share with me how is the following sch in terms of academics? Actually I don’t him to feel too stressed & a sch more suited for his learning. How about values the sch impart? CCA?

1. De Lasalle
- Heard that communication btw parents & teachers are lacking. Teachers not as caring.
- I thought if DS is not so gd in studies, getting into De Lasalle will take away the stress of PSLE cos affiliated to SJI. True?
- We are Christians, so just wondering will our kid be confused if the school is catholic? Like mass. am unsure as I have not attended a Catholic church before.
- New sch & facilities

2. Unity Pri Sch
- New Principal, driving the sch to higher heights. Drilling on academics. Any parents have kids studying there can comment?
- But heard they have a CARE prg, any parents can share more on this?
- Heard a few gd comments on Unity but so far Phase 2C still have place, am I missing something here?

3. Yew Tee Pri
- Under renovation now, not sure when will finish.
- one fren told me that YTP does not have the consistency of producing top students. true or false?
- How is the PSLE results compare to the previous two sch? Just want to make sure I am looking at the correct info.

Hi, any idea how do we check the number of SC registering for Phase 2C? Delasalle has only 99 vacancies but 112 registered.

Any kids in this sch? My son is in nursery class.

Hi parents, my DS will go Pri 1 in 2015 so I will need to decide if I want to do PV next yr. I am a SC so chances of going into DLS / YTPS shld be quite high. However, I am still thinking if I should do PV so that I can be more involved in the sch & see how the P & teachers work. Would that help? Any parents doing PV next yr even though they would not need to ballot? Advice pls! thanks!

yeah, have heard of such incidences ... i suppose more proned if one's child is from a church kindergarten

Can share why is it more proned for kids to be subjected to bullying if in church kindy?
