I know we have parents asking about the conversion rate of WL.. Which we understand differs from sch to sch and cohort to cohort and also where ur child is ranked..

But just out of curiosity.. Anyone here received multiple COs and they already know for sure that they are not accepting a CO for a particular sch and doesn't mind sharing it here.. 😅

Those with CO under sports to IP school, can they cope with academics since the entry will be at a different level from the AL requirement by PSLE ? Anyone with older child can share ?

Wowwww , congratulations 🎉 how many your child received?
I know 6 kids who have received 3 COs this year and a few more with at least 1 CO+2 WL or 2 CO+1WL.

Since there is no way to know how high or low the chance is for our kid's WL to be converted, as we don't know how many WL for that particular domain the schools have given out, we just tell our kids to focus on the PSLE.

Don't worry about the conversion. A few more days left! All the best!

My kid received 2 WL for the sports domain in Swiss and ACI barker. We have to weigh the pros & cons on which school should we choose in end Oct. Tough decision…

U may want to write down what you wish to find out abt these two schools here so that relevant parents can contact you separately here.

No direct or official advantage but i’m sure there is inherent advantage gained from older siblings’ experience & sharings, as well as the networks with the coaches/teachers.

                      No.

DSA is by \"INDIVIDUAL\" talent. Nothing to do with sibling.

                      Clarify :-
If after going through some tests plus an interview, if the Secondary schools' DSA selection panel overall come to the conclusion that the particular P6 applicant has no talent to offer to the school,
                      then,
this applicant will receive Rejection notification news DSA outcome, in the end.

                      Example
                      =======

                      Suppose
If you have twins (P6) applying for DSA into the same identical Secondary school,
say ( RI or RGS ),

                      as parents -

have to inform your twins (children) up front clearly that

it is perfectly all right if end up, both twins go to different Secondary school, via the DSA route. Inform them early, so that won't end up or lead to ...

                      sibling rivalry / jealousy,

                      if in the end,
say one twin is offered RI DSA CO, while the other twin is rejected (turned down) by RI.

Sibling rivalry / jealousy / quarrelling, is common in families nowadays. If not handled properly early out front by parents with wisdom, can lead to broken / strained family relationship.

If refer to newspaper reports (article) around us, you can see that some siblings from \"good\" families even fight in court to ...

Is it usual for secondary schools not to send an official offer letter by postal mail after confirmed offer sent via email?
