    • RE: Q&A - P5 Math

      Cd you plus help…

      From Red swastika sa12013:
      The ratio of the age of Mdm Huda to her son’s age is 5:1 now. In 7 years time, she would be thrice as old as her son. What is the total age of Mdm Huda and her son now?
      Thank you. …

      From Rosyth SA1 2013 Maths - Joy Spent 3/4 of her money on 3 blouses and Grace spent 4/9 of her money on 2 skirts. They were each left with an equal amount of money. One blouse cost $9 more than one skirt. How much money did they have altogether at first?

      Hi, I need some help:

      Angelia wanted to paste her stamps on a piece of rectangular paper measuring 33 cm by 14 cm. All the stamps used are similar in size measuring 4 cm by 3 cm. Assuming that she did not cut any of the stamps, what is the maximum number of stamps she can paste on the paper.

      (Nanyang Pri School SA1 P4 Maths)

      Let me try, paper length is 33cm, stamp length 4cm
      33/4 =8 r1
      Max 8 stamps

      Paper Breadth 14cm, stamp breadth 3cm
      14/3 = 4 r2
      Max 4 stamps at the breadth.

      8x4 = 32.

      Max number of stamps =32.

      Hi, thank you so much for your answer. Is it also possible to find the entire area of the rectangular paper and divide it by the area of the stamps?

      My son's solution was:

      33x14 = 462
      4x3 = 12
      462/12 = 38R6
      Hence, max. stamps = 38
