70% > RP 85
80% > RP 80
Where you got this info from?
48% with 3 H2 Distinctions- this figure doesnt include pass in GP. Right?

Data from school website
Correction for UAS:

UAS=90 : 13%
USS 85-90:57%
UAS>80: more than 80%

UAS>80: more than 80%??
I cant this info in school website?

Anyway, public include potential students are aware of well known colleges' academics.
As long RV continues to maintain its results like RI,HCI,DHS or produce improving results like NYJC, then :xedfingers:
Take note college environmemt eg looking after students' well being/welfare plays a part in selection of school too. These days, the Gen Z looks into such factor when they choose college. Old school of thought doesnt work in this era.
Need expert help, my Friend DD A level result
1. 7 distinctions
2. UAS=90
3. 4H2 distinctions

What is % in whole corhort for above result ? Chance to get scholarship? Many thanks

Scholarships are not just determined by grades. Certainly this girl's results are very good (I don't know her standing in the cohort, but should be fairly high!), and will stand her in good stead in applying for scholarships. However, interviews, CCA, interest in the organisation she applies to, etc. will also count in whether she gets a scholarship or not. Some students with similar good results are not offered a scholarship, and others with poorer results do get scholarships. Still, she should definitely try if she wants one.

Thank you

Definitely have 8 distinctions, My DD’S Friend got 8 distinctions.

This Year RVHS 16 students got H3 distinctions, considered 37 students more than 7 distinctions, 6 students got 8 distinctions is highly possible

White Earth:

Judging from RV and DHS's results, I suppose if the JAE's cop isn't better than 6 for science, 7 for arts, it won't help to pull up these schools results in the future.

For Riverian and Dunmanian IP (Integrated program) students, at PSLE, their Cut-off-point for P6 students, is above minimum 250. Around 252 for RV and around 256, for Dunman High.

As long as these two High schools are able to continue to value-add, even if JAE (Joint Admission Exercise) O-level students entered with Cut-off-point around 9 or 10 points, they will still be able to do well in GCE A level, because it is the \"value-addedness\" that will help them, turn them around, turn the situation around. Continue to keep up your good work, all Riverians and Dunmanians. Hao bang yah 🙂

Agreed, both DHS and RVHS are most value added school :rahrah:
That’s really amazing results from RV! Compared to VJc too, think very likely they performed better than VJ.

Wonder how did NY do. Very limited info released.

Some key data NYJC Vs RVHS

3H2 Distinsion. 40%. 48%
RP>85. 50%. 70%

RVHS performance still better from above data

Factually wrong, according to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93LN_ce2mF8, NYJC's 3H2 Distinction + Pass in H1 GP is more than 40% (more than 4 out of 10), so we don't know exactly how much is the percentage.

85RP or more for NYJC is also greater than 50% and not absolute 50%. RV's 85RP or more is 57% and not 70%

Someone shared RV's distinction rate for Sciences and Math as such:

H2 Maths: 67.3%
H2 Chemistry: 61.1%
H2 Physics:64.7%

However, NY's Sciences (H2 Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and Math:

H2 Maths: >70%
H2 Chemistry: >70%
H2 Physics: >70%
H2 Biology: >70%
Yes, >40% is from 40% to 100%,
So NYJC should be much better than RI and HCI if base on your interpretation :rahrah:
