Hi, any parents who signed up for CCE’s open ended course joins the "Higher order thinking questions" as well?

is it worth it? Do any parents know if there are similar classes in other centers?

my DD will be entering Primary 1 next year and it seems like more and more students are now enrolling in some form of preparations for primary education. The kindergarten my DD attends do teach them maths and english. But i am not sure if she's really ready for primary school. I've notice my niece having issues learning from the teacher and all they do is to memorised the content rather then knowing why she adds and subtracts so i am alittle worried.

And i do believe some form of preparation can help DD gain some confidence which is important. Anyone has any other recommendations as my choice is currently alittle far, I am looking at some cognitive training for my DD.

I won’t say I’m addicted to online shopping, it’s just that it’s more convenient (most of the time). However, there are risks that you have to take like giving your credit information, etc. But I think ebay, amazon, asos are among the best online shopping sites, based on my experience. i agree with the mixing slmkhoo. if parents and teachers will separate the gifted students from the rest, there will be less opportunity for improving their potential, like in empathy. They can also be good examples to late bloomers as they can help these kids be better.


being gifted is a blessing that deserves to be shared, so let your gifted children be a blessing too to those who need their help. They can teach their peers, too.

I want to open a topic which I think all parents here can really relate to. It is about parenting behaviors that we thought are good for our children but if you actually think about it, those will not help them become responsible and strong people when they grow up.

Tuition is not mandatory and the results are very subjective depending on each student. Teachers cannot impose a student to only do methods taught in class. Students are free to use whichever method is useful for them when answering questions. I think that teacher who said that one cannot use the method taught in tuition is very wrong.

This haze is getting so out of control. It has to stop!

just a few more weeks and then Christmas cold will come but if you observe, each year the weather gets less cold.

Hi, no. This is the only time I posted about tuition just a concerned citizen, that's all.

Almost every kid I know is enrolled in tuition. But a friend is hesitant to enroll his kid in tuition because of high cost even tho the kid requested it. I made him read this article for better understanding.
