    • Grateful to Teacher Jenny for Chinese tuition

Always believe sharing is caring, and Kiasuparents is a good place to share. I got the contact of Teacher Jenny from the forum as I was finding a tutor for my daughter who is having loads of problems with Chinese (Chinese is so hard nowadays!). Decided to engage her, and she is a knowledgeable tutor (who also happens to be a former teacher) who puts in loads of effort to tailor her lesson plan to my daughter. She was able to perk my daughter’s interest in the subject, and her grades improved tremendously. So just a quick post to share with all. I know she usually takes in students in the North east area only. If your child (like mine) needs help in the subject, do contact her at 8186 3972..

      Have a good week all!

    • RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

      geraldine_y\" post_id=\"2129030\" time=\"1707958155\" user_id=\"189448:

Just to recommend to all North Eastie, my child is with a piano teacher named Vivian. She is a certified piano teacher with experience teaching at Sonare, Yamaha, Cristofori before venturing out to teach one to one, and has been teaching since 2010s.
My child has a great experience learning from her, as she is engaging, and is able to coach my kid well. Also prep my kid well for ABRSM exam. Being a good teacher, I thought about paying forward, and shouting out here for anyone interested. If i m not wrong she teaches up to ABRSM Grade 8.

      Do contact her for a trial lesson @ 9 3 2 6 9 6 9 Five
      morn geraldine,
Is Vivian based in Sengkang? My child is also with her, and indeed she is a patient and good piano teacher!

    • RE: P3 Science - Is tuition required?

I think developing interest and confidence in the subjects early is very important. Sometimes may a tutor may not be able to do so as they are more result-oriented and focused on how to score, rather than developing the interest. Such approach is probably more relevant in P5 or P6. At p3, a different approach may work much better, either through exposure by parents like ourselves, or if needed a right tutor/tuition group that foster learning rather than rote learning.
