In the end, it really depends on the tutor you engage. A part -timer maybe responsible enough to accommodate as much as possible timing wise for the kids. However, the issue is of course due to time constraint as they are part - time. Same goes for student tutors, as I have engaged an undergrad to teach my kid (who is in primary 5) and he is a good tutor. However, when it comes down to prepping for finals for himself and my kid, there will only be that many available slots he can offer.
Thus, in the end I went with a full-time tutor, and was fortunate to be able to engage a good tutor who can help my kid improve the results tremendously. Hopefully my tutor can work with my kid to give me a pleasant surprise for the upcoming finals!

RE: Any good science tution centre in yishun/sebawang/woodlands?
I live around Sengkang area, and will like to recommend Frankie who is my elder kid’s science tutor. He was a former MOE science teacher who became a tutor. He has > 20 years experience and has a way in perking up the interest in kids. My kid was doing badly for Science in P3 last year as it is a new subject for him, and I was quite worried. Luckily was introduced by my friend to Frankie who is able to simplify science concepts to my kid, and also increase the interest in the subject from real-life examples of how things work. Thus, my kid was able to score close to 80 from a failed grade for his P3 finals. This year he is also doing pretty well for P4 and one less worry for me. Thus, I am recommending him on this post out of appreciation for Frankie’s effort. Do contact him at 8 1393075 to find out about his rates. I think he also travels to the North area for 1-1 class.

RE: Science Answering Technique
Since the topic is about science answering technique, I will like to recommend the current science tutor for my p4 kid. I had many science tutors previously who was just plainly regurgitating from the textbooks and did not focus on getting the concepts right for my boy (granted my boy is also kinda lazy). However, my current science tutor Frankie is a very experienced and patient tutor who came up with innovative and simple to remember techniques to help my p4 boy. My boy who just had a borderline pass for his P3 science tests in the earlier part of last year was able to score close to 80 in his finals, and now he is doing well for P4. Frankie is definitely a saviour for my son and thus I have no qualms on recommending him. I stay around Sengkang / Punggol area and believe he usually teach in the North East area. But no harm trying to contact him if your kid is having issues with science. He can be contacted at 8139 307five
