Both my kids teeth all straighten after 2 months. In fact dd one took only 1 month. I was so shock it's so fast.

About hidden cost. X-ray and mold cost $300. Dd and ds each have to extract 4 teeth and each tooth cost $80. So all in all almost $6k. Don't forget still have GST and consumables that are chargeable. For our case, the doc waived these for us out of goodwill.

No point using NDC, long wait and no subsidy.

Think all similar? X-ray, mould, extraction, consumables all chargeable.
The general name is called \"self-ligating braces\". Just goggled seems to have different type, dun know which type ours fall under tho.

Hi ngl, 2 years ago when I called, the cost is typically $4k onwards and no subsidy. So eventually I chose somewhere near (JMC) home so that the kids can go for the appointment themselves for simple reviews.
DS started last Jun & DD 3 months ago. The package starts from $4.6k. Includes 26 consultation/reviews. X-rays & some other stuff not included.
Orthodontist recommended that I let them use some 'better' type of braces (cannot remember the name, reviews mentioned about it being less painful, faster & easier to clean), so additional cost of $600 each.

Both had extractions done. For DS just 6-9 months we saw the great difference. However he still has some issues so probably going for a small operation to 'dig & fish' his bottom tooth out.
DD is a simple case, just 3 months all straighten liao but cos her wisdom teeth still not out, there's a big space waiting for wisdom to erupt properly. I'm like :moneyflies: cos hers cost the same & so little needs to be done.

If complicated case, better get experienced ones. If simple case like my DD (just too crowded issues), I think most should be pretty straightforward. Ie. extract & braces to align.
