Hi all
I’m new to this forum too. 3 of my children are on orthok since 2013. Had similar unpleasant experiences with Stan Isaacs too. Long waiting time and always can’t seems to get undivided attentive care especially after Dr Yeoh left. But thankfully we managed to find a good optometrist who’s capable of giving attentive care to my children’ eyes.
Since all orthok are around the same price, i guess what matters most other than guaranteed fit and correction will be undivided attention and responsive care.
I had past experiences of my children having real problems with their lenses at night and thankfully, Dr Yeoh responded and came straight down to help out! But now, the phone at Stan Isaacs will be diverted to voicemail after 7pm. I can’t blame though since it’s their operating hours.
And a few months ago, my son’s orthok got stuck on the white part of his eye at nite. Thankfully, my friend called this optometrist down to our place to help remove. We followed her ever since.
Therefore, responsiveness to my children’ eyecare will definitely be a factor for me to consider if i have to again, invest in orthok for my other 2 children (hopefully they won’t need).
I hope Pathfinder will find a good practitioner for your son soon.
