    • RE: Bicultural Studies Programme 双文化课程 (year 3 to year

      Hi all,

From the response of this thread, it seems not so many students taking BSP.
May I know whether because of the workload is too heavy over four years? It is non examable subject, but definitely have project assignment to do. Is there any parent or student can help share the workload and effects requited?
My DD now is at sec 2, considering to apply BSP next year without scholarship.
Many thanks for your sharing 🙏

Hi, anyone entered NYGH through Chinese Dance DSA ? I heard of the requirement of minimum height at 160cm, is that real? On top of that, what area the criteria?
Rumor says CCA minimum height requirement is 160cm, but not confirmed. The selection will be very competitive, and finally we gave up last year.

Those who DSA through GEP are in 102 & 103 classes. Think 101 & 112 are for elective programs students. The remaining 8 classes are for others like other DSAs, students through PSLE score (including top scorers , or GEP who came in through PSLE etc)
How about this year Sec 1 class arrangement? Follow the same specification as above? Thanks

The specification of GEP classes varies from year to year (i.e. not 102 & 103 every year).

Well.. DS took it quite well. He said that a lot of his friends (whatsapp group) also posted to RVHS, even his best buddy.

But back to the system. MOE shifted from T-score to AL-system with the emphasis not to chase the last 1 score. This AL posting exercise (AL6 balloted out of RGS or RI) kind of telling us that, to be safe, kids now have to chase 5-points.. 😓
I think the difference is Tscore chasing last point at total sum, but AL chasing last point at the weakest subject. If the kid is confident to achieve 90+ at one subject, no need to chase any point further. 😄

Hi, anyone has experience or know based on last year students who got DSA CO, could we buy uniforms first before S1 posting result?
We just got the email today from NYGH for uniform and text book purchase from 1 Dec to 21 Dec. Book online in advance and reserve time slot to school for collection. Exchange also allowed after 21 Dec. Maybe you can check with your DSA school.
