https://www.iqair.com/ (I do not work for them as a disclaimer, I run my own consultancy business)
Used two IQair Pro 250 at home coz I have 19 mth olds and also elderly parents. There are 8 of us to manage so I have to make sure the health products work as they claim since I unfortunately live next to ECP. I used to have Novitas in the past (5 to be precise ranging from $300 to $900 in price range) and they have all failed me after I discovered IQair. In short, I have taken them off my list of trusted brands especially for my kids and parents. They do not have any respiratory illnesses just that we live next to a polluted source ECP.
One dead give away visually is when I check my aircon filter after 3 months or when your service maintenance is due. The trick is to take a tissue to wipe the bottom roller, not the netting. You will know what I mean.
To be sure, I have to measure it and bought a $160 EG AQI detector (US company through Amazon) to make sure IQair Pro 250 works in my bedroom before plonking another $1.9K for another one for my kids bedroom. All the AQI reading in Singapore are highly varied. I decided to take things to my own hands.
The results of the EG Air readings are below after turning on IQair Pro 250 for 10 minutes at fan speed 2 with windows/doors shut and aircon turned on.
PM 2.5= 0 ug/m3 (its zero!)
HCHO= 0.035 mg/m3 (Formadehyde from furnitures etc): Very Good range
TVOC 0.045 mg/m3 (Volatile Organic Compounds): Very Good range
So my long story short is this. You get what you paid for in air purification. I sleep better at night. I have a peace of mind from my EG AQI real time reading every single day. I take it to my car, office and random places just for fun to measure how polluted it is.
If you have vulnerable (young kids or elderly) at home, have respiratory illnesses and your are hitting the $1,000 price mark. You need to pay attention to details of what these brands are telling you. Don't buy into their marketing and check their fact sheets. CADR, air leakage from the sides of the filter from Novita filter design. I have nothing against Novita and I still use their air and water purifiers in my office after kicking all of them out of my house. I just have to use my Dyson air purifier together with it in my office.
All IQair are Swiss made like your Rolex and ship with a certificate of factory test before they ship to you. Swiss being Swiss.
The purpose of this post is for you guys to not go through my 'merry-go-round'. Its a lot of wasted of time and not to mention money!
To the best and all the best.
