I contacted the operator school bus, unfortunately no route from bukitbatok to beacon.

My husband trid the following route: bb-mrt bukit gombak-mrt choachukang-LRT bangkit-walk for ard 300m, it takes ard 45 minutes.

A bit troublesome, i feel pity for my kid, he has to wake up very early then.

Anyway, despite of the distance and troublesome on the transportation, we are still happy and excited to enroll our kid to beacon. Hope that we can make friends with parents from beacon.

@dalila: there will be an orientation for P1 this saturday, 21 Nov. Hopefully you have been contacted by school regarding this coming orientation.
The registration start at 8am and the event will be until 1pm.

I just received a letter from MOE yesterday that my son is offered a place for P1 at beacon primary school. I am happy to find this forum of parent’s networking from beacon. So hope that we can get in touch. I believe your input On your experience with beacon will help me a lot to adapt with the p1 in Singapore since this is the only son i have and so excited to see him entering P1 at local school.

I am living at bukit batok and wondering whether any parent come from bukit batok as well?

I read this school is a bit new, just recently officially open in 2010.

However i am interesting with CCA available such as robotics, wushu etc.

I am worrying now… Not yet receive any letter from MoE until now… Most of my kid’s mate already receive a letter and most of them are being rejected with no alternative local school provided by MoE…


I’m praying hard that my kid will be accepted otherwise don’t know what to do next…

I tried to contact MoE and the school directed but they just told ke to wait for the letter…

Other than international school and home schooling, any other private primary school that not as expensive as international school? Need to prepare for the worse…

I am worry now since i got a registration number 109 while the last vacancy i saw from phase 2c is only 65.

Is 'fist come fist serve' still applicable now? Or the MOE will do a ballot for this phase 3?

Anyone know what will be the criteria from MOE in making a decision whether to accept my kid at this local school?

My Q number was 109 on yesterday's phase 3 registration, while last week i checked the vacancy left was only 65 after deducted with the phase 2c supp applicant... Seems a lot of foreigners in my area is targetting local school only 2 local school in my area open for phase 3 in a limited vacancy.

Yesterday i was quequing for 5 hours from 10am to 3pm just for my kid's registration. I knew i might a bit late came to school, the queque was very crowded.

Now i just pray and hope that my kid is able to get place in local school. #reallyprayhard

Is there any way to check how many seat left for phase 3? Maybe from MOE website or direct ask the school? So i may access how big my chance is before registering in any of one school.

Also, do they announce the result through email or letter or website?
