    • RE: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]

Hi parents, my girl will be in Sec 4 next year and based on her performance thus far, I think there is a strong need for tuition for Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Mavis at Kovan offers tuition for IP students. Good to consider Mavis? Anyone has any experience from there?

Alternatively, any recommendations for tuitions, reasonably priced?

There are ex students from Raffles JC/NUS offering tuitions. Would be helpful to know if anyone has engaged such tutors and whether the tutee found it useful.

      Thanks in advance πŸ™‚

Hi parents, my gal is in waiting list under her favourite sports CCA and no other offers/waiting list. So when she submits her 4 choices, can she still apply CCAs that she tried out but got no offers or in waiting list? Any insights?Understand that one Uniformed group is compulsory. Thanks

Hi everyone, what to bring on the first day to school? Does DD need to bring all books on first day itself?

    • RE: Music Elective Programme (MEP)

Hi mummies, if DD doesnt have ABRSM grade required to qualify for MEP but has been learning vocal (classical) for 7+ years and is into singing, would MEP help to hone her skills? Would theory component be too much to cope?

Thanks a ton to all parents who have openly shared your views. Your views are definitely helpful to decide in considering RGS as an option. Ive one more question regarding third language. If the girl is interested to choose Chinese, will she be able to cope given the fact that we are non Chinese family?

Considering RGS as an option for my girl. As a parent I'd would like to hear views about the journey in RGS. Mainly on top of school fees and supplementary fees, what other costs are involved? How much should we budget for learning journeys/tours/camps etc? Would it be challenging to cope up with the curriculum? Can the girl can survive without tuition? Thanks in advance 😊
