i was surprised there were no buddy system! Day 1 and 2 I’ve asked and Travis said no one, no buddy.
But i heard from him that each child has a partner from his class and his partner is always missing… hee hee
jslow, which class is your child in? -

Vonne, from what I gather through conversation with Beatrice, they are basically the helpers of the teachers - collecting books/work from the team members and then giving to the teachers or putting them in the cupboard. Good to instill these simple leadership skills and responsibilities from young. No, not going for the briefing on Sat. I teach piano and flute on Sat so can't go. Hubby's taking care of the kids so can't go either. Anyway, they'll be posting the info on the website as well.
yeh.. i managed to find out from him that he is helpers of the teachers yesterday. Their class monitor is Rachel (if i remember correctly) and Shijie -

Hi VoneVonne:
DS1 successfully got a place in PC for next yr
I'm actually quite worried on its high standard of Mandarin.
While doing PV last year in one of its Orientation Day, the Principal actually gives speech in Chinese. oh no.....
Have PM you about the PV work.
Hope you can share some info with me.
Thanks. -

Hi u mentioned that the P gave a speech in Chinese, there were no non-Chinese parents around? Any idea are there school buses to amk? Is it a long long round and round trip?
When I did the parent volunteer last year helping them to send orientation kits to the P1 kids for this yr. I only see chinese names. Generally Pei Chun has a very strong culture and learning in Chinese. No Malays I've seen so far in the school premise. Indian maybe if the family decided to expose their child in Chinese culture. Also some Chinese nationals.
I saw in the bus list that there is bus to and from AMK. Not sure how long is the trip.. you would know on the admin day on 21 Nov.
Hope this helps -
