SAHM_TAN:

For the pineapple juice, do you use the can version or freshly squeeze fr pineapple ? Thanks

the website I read, says fresh juice only. Think the canned version does not hv the enzymes anymore.

Thank you, will buy fr fruits stall to try next wk.

Pity my heart, aches every time dds not eating well, especially dd1....

Really thank you and Nebbermind, now that they can enjoy their meat dish every meal... Already cannot eat eggs, if no meat how to grow?

When my elder boy was younger, he also did not eat well. If I am not wrong, he could only eat 1/2 bowl of rice at every meal up to Sec 1. Then suddenly he could eat 1 full bowl, went on to 1 n 1/2 bjowl, now sometimes 2 bowls. We tried lysine, pedisure and even pig's brain once.

Hv u tried giving your dd frog meat? If cooked properly, very tender and almost fatless. I gave to my children, lying that the meat were from a small bird. They loved it until one day they were told it is actually frog meat :spank:

Oh, ya... never thought of frog's meat... they like it a lot when we eat at Sin Hoi San, luckily I did not tell them what's that.... Now I got one more meat dish to add to their menu. :boogie:

:thankyou: Jen.

One question, the market vendor would skin and cut for us?

You can use other protein sources like tofu and beans as well.
Had wanted to serve yong tau foo for dinner, ended up as part of lunch.

So dinner is changed to:

1. chicken thigh, breast and potato stew http://freedelicacies.blogspot.sg/2011/03/chicken-stew.html
2. stir fry green peas with pork slices
3. pan fry fish
4. leftover yong tau foo from lunch

Wow, thanks for sharing the website on the chicken stew, looks easy and yummy. šŸ˜„

Tonight my dinner :
1. Oven bake turmeric chick wings
Just marinate the wings with salt pepper and turmeric for few hours. Coat with plain flour, bake at 190deg
2. Steam tofu with enoki mushrooms and the brown ones, dunno the actual name. Drain the tofu and mushrooms, drizzle with soy sauce and onion oil. Add spring onions
3. Stir fry big chye sim( unno what he name, XL size chye sim from giant)
4. Fen ge+corn+pork ribs soup

Jen, can share how you fry the green peas with sliced pork? Thanks šŸ˜„

how to choose Fen Ge?? I made Fen Ge soup once....boiled very long time but still very hard
The veg seller told me to choose weird shaped fen ge, she says it ll taste sweeter. But I normally choose the slimmer kind, cos it s easier to cut.
I try to slice the fen be as thin as I can, then boil for about 2 hrs, ya, it s bit hard, and wn't really disintegrate. We don't eat the fen ge.

Tonight s dinner:
1) sliced pork with green peas šŸ˜„
2) cabbage with shrimp
3) stew pork rib with vinegar ( just agaration recipe : apple cider vinegar, black sauce, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce fill to cover the pork ribs) stew for 2 hrs. Taste like tang2 chu4 pai2 gu3. This one easy, don't need much cleaning up.
4) coral seaweed+cucumber salad( just marinade with plum vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds)
( sorry, no pics yet, will go find out how to download šŸ˜‰ )

My dd2 is also very fussy and underweight, no fats kind of diet also. tried Appeton, etc. Still like that

Wow, so much talk about pineapple to tenderize meat, slurps

I use fattier meat cuts to make lasagne or meat balls. Children should not dun eat a little fats.

I bou a pack of dried Jap seaweed last week at Thomson Plaza, yet to make salad with it. Thank you for the reminder šŸ˜„

I like ē³–醋ꎒéŖØ too. The black sauce you use, which brand?
