Hi, May I ask since led appears not as bright as FL, how many watts of led is suitable for study table ? I m referring to a long strip led bulb. Tia.

If you use a 80W bulb, it may be bright enuff to illuminate a room.

Now, if you use a 20W FL, it may produce the same amount of illumination as the 80W bulb.

paiseh... can i ask how to know whether they give the same illumination? Other than buying it home to try, is it stated on the packaging?

I pluck the figure from air one.. just for comparison.

You can't tell. It's not stated. Anything on the packing is likely a rough guide only

And it's not that simple to judge, bcoz the colour may differ lightly.. so maybe largely subjective also.

But if you buy and install at home and want an objective way to test.. i may be able to offer some tips on how to test...... using camera.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

              Good morning :rahrah:

I just asked my handbags, they all agreed with you that I don't need to save money.... :please:

And then, I walked out to the patio and the merciless rain wet half side of my robe and the lightning roared at me--- hey, don't think so great of yourself and kindly asked your collection of handbags to shut up, you ain't owned anything not from the MOTHER EARTH, use your brain! :lightrod:

              And so I abide....

Wah.... so you are an environmentalist at heart?! I used to be very concerned but I \"see very open\" now and just go with the flow.

IMHO, most (if not all) Singaporeans are not serious about conservation and the earth hour is just simply hot air....

Some feedbacked that salesman say that LED is not as bright as FLโ€ฆ which seems to contradict many of the information that can be found on the internet.

I suspect, most likely the salesman meant, the highest rated LED is far from the highest rated FL. For e.g. the biggest LED bulb maybe 30W, but the biggest FL maybe 60W. It doesnโ€™t meant at the same wattage the LED is not as bright as FL.
