It's indeed a difficult time. Mil was warded from Sunday due to a few life threatening issues. On Monday, the doctor told us that she may pass away within a few days due to the medical issues like high calcium due to the cancer cells attacking the bones. Her calcium levels are lower now so they have started radiotherapy on Thursday. The doctor keeps talking about quality of life..

Hopefully after radiotherapy, she is fit enough to go for chemotherapy. The cancer cells are everywhere. In the liver, in the lungs, in the bones.. Widespread

My mum also passed away from lung cancer 10 years ago. At the time of discovery, the cancer cells has also spread to bones, liver and brain. I know it is a very normal reaction to try and find cures and all sorts of agressive treatments. But slowly when I saw the side effects of the treatments, and the pain that she went thro, it's really the quality of life, not the length of life that matters. Thank you for your offer. I will PM you if I need someone to talk to. We will be speaking to the medical social worker and the palliative team tmr. We hope to hire a private nurse to take care of my mil.

Good news: DS aced his exams (97-100 marks)

Haven't gotten the pillow. Mil seems ok with her current pillows. Will try to get for her soon. I got the Tefal steamer makes cooking and cleaning easier. Mil seems more comfortable today. She has mood to watch tv and eat.

Looking at mil, I suddenly want to have a second kid as a companion to my son. Feel sad that he will be alone when DH and I are gone. Also starting to get worried that he can’t get a good wife… Haiz… I think too much…
