      Mrsbongz:
I second the opinion that p3 sa2 science seems easier.. Ds' class had v high scores too, n he is in Resp 1... Want to seek p3 parents' view of the SA2 papers, were they generally much easier? Ds is quite happy with his improved results, but i m not sure if it's simply bcos the papers r easier, or that he performed better.. So i can caliberate his study plans 😛

Or mabbe your ds has an affinity for Sci ... or his Sci teacher is good ... or he was paying attention during lessons ... 😄

Congrats! Should celebrate his improved results, I think it'll mean a lot to him. :rahrah:

Went through Compre oe for both languages. Some questions asked are not so straight forward - pupils need to understand the passage well and synthesise their own answers from info given in the passage. I also find the answer provided by teacher to one particular question in eng compre oe rather debatable.

            FQW,

Tks for the encouragement. But u sure B2 for 2 subjects can get into Teamwork9? :scared:

DS dream is to be top in PSLE nationwide. 😆
Just treat it as a kid's ambition to be the next PM/President?

Based on what I interpreted from what ds told me, the average score in his class should be 3 B1 & 1 B2 for SA1. Of course it also depends on whether those are high or low B1/B2. The class has some super-solid kids who are obviously in a league of their own while most are clustered in the middle.

FQW, I think I also agree with your DS's observation.

Get what u are trying to explain. 😄 I also hope that DS can \"squeeze\" into teamwork 9 next year. 😂

I also went thru' the papers yesterday. Actually, I find the CL passage harder but DS scored higher than EL paper2. Maybe the marking for EL OE is more rigid? :?

All papers back ytd. This year, all scores are revealed to the pupils - Oral and Compo included.

Confirmed HCL overall failed again, though there is a narrower margin to 50.

I hv some qns on the EL oral examiner's comments: can be louder during reading, use basic vocabulary in pic conversation - these are not traits of my boy. Could the oral examiner be sleeping by late afternoon???

All these years, my boy always scored very well in EL oral, always 2 or 3 marks away from perfect score. This SA1 oral only 22/30. Not possible leh :?

perhaps it's your son sleeping by late afternoon. 😆

Parents who are looking for tutor to tackle ds or dd chinese compre & compo problem, i would like to recommend a good tutor in Upper Bukit Timah tuition centre. The tutor strong in knowledge and strong in motivate students to achieve best result. No harm trying because they provide trail lesson.

Pm me if you interested. Thanks
