My kid in 3R1 too: did well for science & Maths but not el n cl p2....new to phpps...just concerned how to help him in OE compre...I am trying not to know the average scores, whether fr HA class or not!

        压力好大哦!

Went through Compre oe for both languages. Some questions asked are not so straight forward - pupils need to understand the passage well and synthesise their own answers from info given in the passage. I also find the answer provided by teacher to one particular question in eng compre oe rather debatable.

        bgmum,

I also went thru' the papers yesterday. Actually, I find the CL passage harder but DS scored higher than EL paper2. Maybe the marking for EL OE is more rigid? :?
I think markings for both OEs are quite strict. Perhaps also depends on the teacher marking the paper?

Thanks Mrsbongz. These are good. My DS's class teacher uses similar guidelines & structural approach to guide them on EL components.

No prob.. Hope it is useful.. I thot it was good of that school to coach the parents on wat is required for OE qns or why certain answers were not acceptable.. 😉 the Chongfu primary school website actually has more slides for their workshops for parents..

                        Jennifer,

Have you checked with the teacher on your boy’s EL oral?
