Hi Dharma,
Do the girls have mid-year exams in Yr 1? If not, which part of the year (eg. late sep, early oct..) does RGS conduct their final year exams? Thank you

Hi FireflyMom,
Term 1 – SA (Semestral Assessment) –Feb/ Mar
Term 2 – MYA (Mid-Year Assessment) – Apr/ May
Term 3 – SA – Jul/Aug
Term 4 – EYA (End of Year Assessment) – End Sep/Oct
# last year – No MYA. Replaced with SA ‘cause of SYF. -
The students had a CCA briefing yesterday. The various groups of CCA are ranked according to the difficulty level of getting in.
Surprisingly, in the UG, Girls Guide is the most difficult to get in as demand always way exceeds vacancies. Another surprise, Red Cross :? is the second most difficult!
Under Sports CCA, Track & field is ranked the easiest to get in while swimming is the most difficult. To join Table Tennis, candidates must already be a member of STTA.
Under Performing Arts, Handbell ranks most difficult followed by Guitar
. There's only 10 vacancies for guitar.
The above information is based on what was shared with me. May not be 100% accurate.
The scenario here is so different from RI where Sports CCA & those CCA with high demands (in terms of time commitment) are the hots. Guess Girls are more kiasu than the boys. Where girls are more focus on what they want to achieve academically, boys just want to have fun. Just my opinion, no offense. -

This rumours was heard years ago but to date RGS is still in Stevens Road. There is and will be many hear say about RGS shifting out or shifting to join RI but I doubt so in the near future.
I notice that you are new (1st post here) so :welcome: -

I've checked with RGS Admin some time ago. According to the person who answered my query, If there's going to be shift, it will definitely not affect students from this year's batch. That means, it will not be so soon. Actually, I'd rather prefer RGS to shift next to RI(JC).Hello Pao Ka Liao,

When I went for the open house last year, the prefect who conducted the school tour told me the move will be in 2014. Fyi
