Dear jerejoy, if you re-read qms' reply you should see that there no evidence of any malice or contempt at all. It is clear that she is trying to explain that:Pls read carefully before trying to reply my thread. This is a place for experienced and inexperienced parent to share and learn. If u think U are an expert here and do NOT wish to help. U DO NOT have to write these sarcastic remarks to reply. U have done absolutely NOTHING but a piece of nuisance and unhelpful remarks! As a parent, I am just trying to ask for advice if there is any way to get to phase 2B besides doing PV. That is the meaning of securing a phase 2B slot. Did I mention secure a place in school? Pls read carefully!!!
As for MOE website, I believe any parent would hv gone in to see the info. I believe the purpose of the forum is to share and learn more from others besides just the MOE info. If nt, why r YOU in this forum as well????
1. There is no guarantee that one can win a place in the School even if one registers in Phase 2B, and
2. There is no guarantee that one can even get to register in Phase 2B even if one is a PV or member of a clan.
3. Being in Singapore doesn't exactly improve your chances of getting through the P1 registration process.
4. You should go to the MOE website if you are looking for official information.
The above are factually correct. Perhaps you already know all the above, and all you want to know is whether Red Swastica has other avenues to get into Phase 2B, but your response to her post is inappropriate and unfair to her attempt to help you. -

Thanks for clearing the air and reiterate qms's reply in a more refined manner. I do understand that given a phase 2B slot, it doesn't guarantee a place in the school but it does increase a higher chance of getting into the school. Appreciate yr help for rephrasing my sentence. U are right, I would like to know if there are other ways to get into phase 2B besides doing PV for Red Swastika as I understand from MOE website, it does states \" whose parent is a member endorsed by the church/clan directly connected with the school; or whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader.\" Would like to know if RS is linked with any clan.
I have some friends who are overseas but yet can secure a place in the school for their kids as their elder kids are already studying in the schools. But for my case, this is my 1st child and nt being an ex student from the school, I would like to know if there is a possibility of qualifying for phase 2B if we are not able to do PV if we are overseas.
qms,
Yes, u r right. We are all here to make friends. Apologies for my adverse response. But it does help if u try to apprehend my queries. If u do re-read my queries again, I am just trying to know if there is any clan connected with Red Swastika. Anyway, appreciate yr reply. :celebrate: -
Hi jerejoy,
Have you cross over to the Parents Networking thread? You can try to ask the parents of the pupils of Red Swastika Primary.
Maybe they can help to answer your questions

Hi jerejoy,
Donโt mention.
Just out of curiosity.
Are you considering Fengshan or Yu Neng too?
Or you are just considering Red Swastika? -
Hi,
My 1st choice will be Red Swastika as Iโm staying less than 1km from the school and also it is one of the better school. If nt, Yu Neng will be my 2nd choice. Nt sure abt Fengshanโs school std. will check out and share with u if I have any info.
Are u also staying near these schools? -

My two children are in FSPS!!Hi,
My 1st choice will be Red Swastika as I'm staying less than 1km from the school and also it is one of the better school. If nt, Yu Neng will be my 2nd choice. Nt sure abt Fengshan's school std. will check out and share with u if I have any info.
Are u also staying near these schools?
And last year, FSPS did better than YNPS and RSPS
:celebrate:
YNPS standard has been rather inconsistent these past few years.
FSPS top PSLE score is 279 followed by 274 and 3 pupils have 271.
If you noticed, the few top scorers aren't too far apart in the scores and as one parent said, if the scores are not too far off, the credit should go to the teachers
I have witnessed for myself how the school's standard has changed over these few years. My boy is in P4 and my girl is in P2.
The better students are placed in High Ability class namely A class and B class and the approach and materials are meant to cater to their needs as these students learn faster than their peers.
The staffs there are great! I have written in my previous post under Transfer to other primary school.
The staffs, from the principal all the way till the teachers and counsellors, even the security guards are all very professional and helpful.
This is equally important. I do not just look at the academics results but also the total holistic approach and well-being.
They also did well in CCAs too
I can say I am very pleased that my two children are doing very well there.

Hello,
Anyone has feedback on Yu Neng? Are academic as well as character development good in this school?
Where can i find the academic results for Yu Neng?
Thanks.
