Winnie2679:
You mean you want to PV so that your two younger ones can get into RMPS? If your P4 boy manages to get into RMPS next year, there's no need for you to perform PV duties. The younger ones will qualify under Phase 1.I'm moving to bukit merah area soon.. Would like to enquire about the chances of registering my pri 4 son to next year pri 5 at radin mas primary and pri 1 daughter to chij Kellog. Both of them are in convent school now..
Please advise. I have another 2 younger ones, planning to send them to radin mas too.. Does PV works? Is the chance high to get it?
Are your children SCs? How far is your new house from RMPS? -

Personally I would consider the distance more important than others. This time round there is internet registration of P1. Meaning that you will not be able to capture live result for those apply through the internet.
Yes the P & VP for the future APS their profile is good but somehow I believe the management should be different compare of MBS & APS. From what I know MBS is it a GEP or SAP? With the announcement of the Principal profile of APS, definitely it will draw certain demand of registration. Somehow CPS also did some advertisement on TV & have one time it enter a balloting situation. -

Online registration dates for P2C
Starting from 9.00 am on 29 July 2013 to 4.30 pm on 31 July 2013
Onsite registration dates for P2C
Starting from 9.00 am on 30 July 2013 to 4.30 pm on 01 August 2013.
It's still possible for the schools involved in the online registration to consolidate and let parents, who are registering on 01 Aug, to know the total figures thus far. -
the new APS sounds very promising and attractive to me leh! my boy is only 2.5yrs now and i’m alr drooling over this… LOL…

Dear all experienced mummies and forumers,
I’m a clueless mum hoping to get some help on registration P1 for my girl. She is in K2 now and is a SPR. I didn’t manage to do any preparation for her so we would fall into Phase 2C or 2CS.
Gan Eng Seng PS is right downstaire my block, but I have concern putting my girl here. She is quite boyish and very easily influenced by her friends so I hope to put her in a school where the student manner is relatively better than GES (based on my observation). So GES would be my last choice even though it’s really convenient to put her there (we have no car).
My next choice would be the new Alexandra PM. Below are my questions:
- Any higher chance if my house is <1km vs <2km from the school?
- I plan to do an online registration for the school. I see that the registration timing is starting from 9.00 am on 29 July 2013 to 4.30 pm on 31 July 2013.
Is this like first come first serve, means if I register at 9pm 29 Jul my chance is higher than 4.30pm on 31 Jul?
- Where can we find more info about this school? Like class size, vacancy, school focus, etc…
My next choice would be New Town or Zhangde school, and I dont really know which one is more suitable. PSLE result is an indicator but I think it also depend on individual and the luck if get a good teacher. So if anyone can share info with me on these 2 schools, I would be very grateful.
Thanks so much! -

Hello desperatemummy
APS has no information at this moment at all...i have called MOE but have no details. Uner Phase 2C 1km will have higher chance than 2km or more -
APS is one of my choice. But forsee it is going to be hot! I’ve signed up as PV at another school so that I have back up option!

For parents who wish to find out more about APS, you may refer to their website:

Thank you for your response.
Any mum here got girl attending GES school and find it’s generally okay?
Would you advise that I register my girl for GES instead of taking the risk for new school at Alexandra?
I think my change of getting in GES is very high compare to APS since I stay less than 500m to the GES?
