Hi USA,Hi,
May I check which category has a higher priority when it comes to balloting for pri 1 registration - parent volunteer or resident staying within 1km? Or are these 2 groups under the same balloting phase (phase 2B)?
Thank you!

PV = 2B
Resident within 1 km = 2C -

Hi USA!
Within every phase, if balloting is required, distance between the school and house sets in. Hence, you can be a parent volunteer staying within 1 km from the school. In this case, you fall under Phase 2B (PV), and if there is balloting in P2B for those in the 1-2 km category, you need not go through balloting because you are in the < 1 km category.
Hope the above clarifies! -

In summary the cruical factor is the distance in any phase. The nearer you are the better chance of getting into the school. -

The teacher will read the books in class. It's up to you whether you want to buy them or not.
They have similar program for Chinese, too. -

Where do you get info on the books? Oh it is optional whether to buy the books. Chinese also have?titank:

The booklist was given by my son's form teacher. Your son should be receiving his list from his form teacher soon, if he didn't receive it yesterday.titank:
Yes, the Chinese HOD mentioned that the teachers would read some story books to the students at the later part of the year. She showed some books, and encouraged parents NOT to buy these books. Parents who want their children to read more Chinese books should purchase other story books, sicne the set that she showed would be read in class anyway, hence, no point repeating them.Chinese also have?

Hi titank!
Doesn’t your son have English and Maths everyday, too?
