Wat is the difference between ACS (Pri) and ACS (Junior) ? which is the independent sch?

Neither. Only the secondary school, ACS Independent is independent.

      I still dont understand.
so ACS (Pri) and ACS (Junior ) is the same?[/quote]No. ACPS and ACSJ are two separate primary schools. Neither of them are independent schools. Only the secondary school ACS Independent is independent, ACS Barker Sec is not independent either.

You might want to raise your question in the primary school threads for ACS Primary and ACS Junior to see if anyone there can answer your question on the difference between the two primary schools.

ACS Primary is the more popular one (tough balloting) and seems to have produced some spectacular students... English spelling bee champs and even champs in Chinese story-telling (saw a story in Popular bkshop's magazine)! :yikes:

Depends on where you live... Marymount is near Toa Payoh/ Thomson area whereas Canossa is at Circuit Rd near Macpherson. Very different locales...

For these 2 schools, I will choose based on distance to home coz both are Catholic girls schools that are not extremely popular until Phase 2C Supp. My fren's kid went to Canossa after failing the ballot at Kong Hwa. She seems happy there and is now a prefect.

We live ard Lor Chuan. Distance wise..Marymount is nearer.
But I understand Canossa has affiliated secondary school, and Marymount has none.
Couldn't find much info about Canossa in the forum.

Affiliated sec means kid can have less stress for the PSLE. If it is important to u, then choose Canossa. Both schools have many places available regardless of distance at the earlier phases.

BTW, why did you shortlist these 2 schools?

It is for our back up plan. 1st choice is KCPPS but we have to check our chance as I'm under phase 2C PR. Any other recommended school around my area? :thankyou:

Hi , if u are under 2c Pr, unlikely to get in KCPPS as there are balloting conducted based on history . Zhong hua will be definitely a better choice as compared to even Marymount.
