        Dear all,

Just as a guide, if you order directly from dangdang, the 7 books of 四五快读 cost about $37 including direct shipping to your house.

The shipping charge is 50% of the original book price. Note that most books in dangdang are heavily discounted.

The best selling series 不一样的卡梅拉 cost about $9 including shipping for all 6 books.

Besides citibank credit card, I just noted that dangdang also accept American Express cards.

          hi tamarind,

I would like to order from dangdang after seeing all the beautiful illustrations you showed on your blog. I’m a big fan of children’s storybooks myself. I’m just wondering how many books do you usually order at one go? I’m trying to order as many books as possible so as to avoid spending more on shipping than the books themselves but it’s quite time-consuming.

            Hi rains,

I have been buying many books from dangdang. Each time I buy about RMB 500 including shipping.

The shipping charge is 50% of the original book price.

            For example, for 不一样的卡梅拉
            Original price = RMB 40.80
            Discounted price = RMB 21.60
            Shipping = 50% of RMB 40.80

The more books you buy, the more shipping charges you pay.

If your order is under RMB 100, shipping is RMB 50. For example, if you order only one book that costs RMB 10, shipping is RMB 50. So you just have to order above RMB 100.

Take note that since the charging is based on the original book price, you dont want to over-order as well , in order to avoid paying GST.

Sigh, i did about 4 or 5 times...all with different orders as you have advised... i guess i got to keep trying...I had also checked out the same order at Amazon.cn - my goodness, the delivery charge is more expensive that the cost of the books

You might want to try doing it from home.

The last time I tried several time from office, not successful. Succeeded the first time I did it from home.

Your payment is not successful. You should receive another email saying that payment has been received.

You need to cancel that transaction, and submit a new order. Have you setup your personal message and password at the Citibank website ? After you enter your credit number and submit, you should see your personal message and then you have to enter your password.

Sometimes the Citibank server may be having problems. I have complained to Citibank that they are not providing good customer support on the Secure Online Shopping feature. The staff said that she will report this issue to the relevant department.

If you have Amex card, can try that too. I think it may be easier.

                      Hi Tamarind,

Thanks for your help. Never set up my message and passwords at citibank website. Haha. I will do it and cancel that order. Hai, have been trying for a few nights liao.

After we go through the 1st order is it easier when we order 2nd round?

                        hi Lizuan,

Anyway i have tried to place order today. Sadly most of the 四五快读 books are not available at the moment.

I decided to join spree to get the books.
