Hi I would like to find out what’s a good age to send my daughter for I Can Read Programme…I personally feel that K1 is quite a good age but my friend who sent her daughter told me that K1 is too late, it’s better to send my child who turns 4 next year… For those parents who have sent your child to I CAN READ programme, what’s your take on this?

I am planning to enroll my son who is now in K1 at either ICR-Tampines or British Council. Any feedback from parents who have enrolled their kids at ICR- Tampines?

            Thank you.

Any feedback on teachers for Parkway Parade branch? Teacher Anthony? Teacher Aaron? Heard that Teacher Aaron’s classes are always full. My daughter just promoted to PRP.

Thanks for the info. I have yet to discuss the slot availability with the recep. It's their term break this week. Not sure if Teacher Thomas still teaching in the centre?

                    Hi!

If icr works for your kid - I also feel k1 is too late. Perhaps 4-4.5 is a good time to start with their programme. The kid can start with tcs first (icr will assess the kid) and soon, can progress to prp.

If u are taking generally or for other programs, then maybe k1 is good. some enrichment ctrs start off at 5yo and all they require is kids must recognize all the letters in the alphabet, can write own name, understand simple instruction.

                      Hi,

My kid did little bear before. Ok la, not fantastic. But it's a stepping stone necessary to progress further if your kid is young and u do not want to wait any longer. A lot of coloring work and some basic phonics.

Looking back, I shd hv kept my money in my pocket. But like I said, it was a necessary stepping stone to progress further. My kid just turned 3 when he did little bear. Within 4 lessons, icr moved him to tcs.

My daughter went for 2 different branches for assessment when she just turned 3 (was rejected earlier due to \"under age\"). Both assessors put her in TCS and commented she should be able to clear the level in 4-5 lessons. True enough.. she made it within the \"predicted\" timeframe.
