Yes I think we will choose Marymount over Canossa - distance wise.

Positive feedback from Marymount parents :-

        Hi Kokoon

If u are staying within 1km of Horizon, quite safe to get in without balloting.
The safer bet is CHIJ oln though. They have a mini open house (1hr tour) on 25/6, 10am. Must call to register to get a feel of the school.

I am staying at punggol too, right beside horizon. Am eligible for phase 2B at Mee Toh but still looking at CHIJ oln, phase 2C. Hv been advised that all Singaporean, regardless of distance managed to get in at this phase.

Hi, my son will be registering P1 for this year. As I will be using my mum’s address to register for P1, may I know the strong and weakness point for below Primary School?

          1) Radin Mas - from the thread - Chinese - Weak; how about strong point?
          2) Gan Eng Seng - Weak? Strong?
          3) Zhengde - Weak? Strong?

          Thanks in advance!

Rather than start off with strengths and weaknesses of each school, you might perhaps want to let us know which phase your child will be in. No point checking the strengths and weaknesses if you don't stand a chance during the P1 registration, since your child will be in the 1-2 km category which puts him out of contention in ZDPS and RMPS for P2C.

I think you need to be careful with what you read from discussions in this site. You mentioned \"from the thread\" - I presume you were referring to the RMPS Parents' Networking thread? When parents mentioned about RMPS being weak in Chinese, they were comparing to schools like RVPS.

I have 3 young boys and the eldest born in 2008. Iam looking at few schools and in Phase 2C.

                      Base on address in Buangkok:
Palm View Primary (new school within 2km), Yang Zheng Primary (within 2km), Xin Min Primary (within 1km), or

Base on address in Pasir Ris :
White Sands Primary (within 1 km), or Pasir Ris Primary (within 1 km)

Which would be the best to go for? :scratchhead:
