ME TIME!

sleepy:
no worries...understand. hubby and i will still do our part but such warm assurance for one of the many students in the school certainly makes parents happy.
My 2 cents hor, not meaning to pour cold water, but I doubt there is much the principal can do. Primary school is about mass education, teachers need to handle class of 40, their hands are tied, limited by resources.janet_lee88:
i wanted to home-school my daughter for the rest of the year...so i sent an email to principal. she asked to meet me & hubby.
there are 40 in a class...i do not expect privilege treatment for my daughter but principal said it is her job and her teachers to see that no child is left behind. -

ok...i see.. do try to let go a little by little on ur perfectionists.i wanted to home-school my daughter for the rest of the year...so i sent an email to principal. she asked to meet me & hubby.

i am sitting down in front of the computer to surf Net and draw up a schedule to try and fit in something constructive everyday.
me not virgo...taurus...bull-headed
so far what i read, it about stop controlling the things that is not within ur control. not sure our level so perfection is the same. but i tend to like to be perfect in almost everything.. -
i cannot expect perfection from others…ridiculous, right ?
i am learning to let go asking too much from myself…hard but gotta try.
don’t be a slave to the house…do what i want to, close my eyes, make myself happy. -
janet_lee88:
yeah....dun expect too much of urself to do everything in perfection.i cannot expect perfection from others...ridiculous, right ?

yes....dun expect others to be perfect or others to do the perfect way like u wanted to.
SIGH.....still learning...so tough...ma chiam like changing personality. -
back to ME time title.
re-watched prev episode again...rushed through in order to sleep...
boot up pc to surf net...
listen to songs while preparing lunch...
wow, after 1 month, i get to enjoy some peace again... -
No need to cook lunch today.
Went to Joo Chiat for Vietnamese beef noodles with hubby before he goes to office.
After meeting ah boy at tutor’s place, I get my ME time at BP Mall. -
janet_lee88:
Apart from perfectionists in general, I'd like to think that everyone has a perfection for certain areas of work or in life.i cannot expect perfection from others...ridiculous, right ?

Just like how you shared that you don't wanna be a slave to the house and how you even have a certain way of hanging up your laundry. Same for me too, but because I am also a perfectionist in this area and in folding laundry (even though I thoroughly detest this chore), I actually do it faster every time I have to. So much so that hubs once said, \"You said you don't like to fold but you do it so fast and do it so well too in just within such a short time.\" :scared: When he takes over laundry or some other chores or even the kids he knows actually it ain't so easy and tells me so. \"You make it all look so easy but in reality it is not.\"
And I think I have more laundry than all of you here leh. -

The month's holiday saw my girls voluntary helping out to watch the boys more.. help vacuum and mop the house more often.. we even did spring cleaning.. donating some stuff.. sold some stuff.. did revision.. but as a family we all had time to sing and dance together to some YouTube videos/songs as chillaxing time, go for outings and makans, spend time with gramps (etc).. amongst other things.back to ME time title.

Hubs and I got more couple time (albeit just at home) and we got our own 'me time' doing our own things. I scrambled with hubs on the scramble with friends app/game (he's definitely one friend i have with benefits ). For him, catch up on his Championship Manager and other games and Mio movies that he wanna watch.
I got time to re-organize the work room a bit to better work with my boys. I got time to surf quietly. I caught up on movies over Mio and also online too. I even had time to catch up with my brother after he came back from outstation while the kiddies were parked at the indoor playground.
I believe if we really need 'me time' we CAN but we must make an effort to materialize it before we realize time whizzed by again and a tiring cycle continues... as to when we will feel bogged down all over again.
Hope your day was good today, janet_lee88. :hugs: -
good that all are getting back their ME TIME!.... :imcool:

not really. waking up at 4am daily is a challenge. mind wants but body rejects..
actually come to think of it, now seem to have gotten worse. but having a change in mindset helps a little. -

which woman likes housework? but then, i get satisfaction when i see clothes hung nicely and nice clean floor to walk on after vacuum.
it's been a great Monday...i didn't get the blues because the house is all mine to do as i wished :rahrah: ...since there was no tuition yest, i had vacuumed the floor and washed the floor rugs.
i cooked a simple lunch with the music blasting in the background. -
DH is travelling again. Did a lot of sending off this morning
Sent DD off to school
Sent DS off to school
Sent DH off to airport
So this week, gonna have a lot of ME time after kids go to bed. -
Kids slept early…after one month of sleeping late at night and next day, they knocked out at 10…considered very early. Will need few days to adjust back to school life.
Think I will tidy the cupboards and clear some old clothing. Hubby said he is working late 2moro…so dinner will be easy. -
