UPDATE ON TRAFFIC:

Today is a bad day. Since NJC starts at 8.30 on Thurs, so this morning (which is a Thurs), I start driving out at 8.05 hoping to reach at 8.25 (I thought, since on Tue I started at 7.05 and managed to reach at 7.25).

But there was terrible jam everywhere this morning due to 2 accidents at PIE. Also, I think Jennifer is right, this timing got to jostle with cars going to work !!

I reached NJC at 8.55am !! :stupid: :heresmyfish:
Take bus is easier bcos there is bus lane during those hours. Else go to school earlier to do sch work lor.

Depends where u come from : Please note that there is a \"permanent\" jam from Adam turning into Bukit Timah, and along Farrer....leading from Adam all the way to Queensway. The jam is ALWAYS there every morning during pri / sec school term, from 8+am lasting till 9+am. Heard that is due to many motorists avoiding some ERP elsewhere. I remember some years ago there is no such jam every morning. Hope they don't put up ERP along Farrer
Reminds me how during early november, i told my boys that I'd bring them to sentosa and we'd start out early at 8am bc we want to reach sentosa by 9am. Aiyoh, jam from Adam Road all the way until Alexander. :x By the way, this jam is different from the jam that goes onto Bukit timah road - the jam that is there bc of the schools, bc that is at 6-7+am.

I always drive this same road, but just over to Holland once a week at 9+am. Absolutely no jam by then. In fact, I actually reach within 15mins from AMK!!! At normal speed too!

I think I ask him take bus himself better. HAHAH.
Depends on which road, I think. But bus also subject to jam, right ? Maybe your reasoning is that is bus can use bus lane, so faster ?
Anyway, we don't confirm that Thurs is 8.30am until school starts, ok? Bc my son hear from the Seniors. Maybe different levels could be different days/times?
Dont worry, I called up NJC, Nanyang & HCI this morning.

NJC office girl told me Thur is 8.30am

Please see update on page 1.

          Thanks

I think the side from Adam turning into Bukit Timah side is more jam as compared to coming from the opposite direction. Meaning to say, traffic at HCI side is more severe than NJC side. So far this is my observation, pls correct me if I am wrong ...

I took the public bus on Monday (which was a rainy day, though not heavy). It was 709am when I boarded #157 opp Bt Timah Plaza towards Dunearn Rd. A slight jam starts before Turf Club Rd, then cleared up before Vanda Rd. I reached NJC bus stop at 725am.

                    ANOTHER UPDATE:

This time I tried the route using Tampines Ave 10 —> Airport Road —> KPE —> PIE —> Eng Neo —> NJC

Tried at night when no traffic & morning

                    RESULT:
At night when no jam took 26 mins.

In the morning, traffic too heavy at Airport Road, entrance to KPE (bcos single lane) & slow at KPE exit to PIE (also due to single lane). Total time: 40 mins.

                    CONCLUSION: Better stick to PIE

                    Hope the above help

                    Cheers

When it rains, set off 20-30 mins earlier, the jams on PIE can be really bad all the way to Eng Neo.
