Hi, my gal is weak in grammer, vocab, comprehension and Cloze passage. She is in P1 now. I am looking at British Council and LCentral. Any advise or recommendation? Thank you.

          Hi 24hr-mum,

Can i check - if you like Mindstretcher as mentioned above (on \"Writer Toolbox\"), why are you still looking for writing programmes?

Why not continue with Mindstrecher, may i ask?

Hi, LP at Marine Parede, Pakway Ctr wil be opening classes for N2 & K1. My friends’ daughter want to join but short of few children. If you interest please call the Ctr ASAP. Alternatively, you will miss this enrollment and have to wait until your kids K2. K2 assessment more difficult than younger age.

              Dear Mummies,

Please help to advise wat kind of tuition or enrichment class at a really affordable fees.. to go for as my P1 son doesn't really know a lot of words in English, cannot really read...as he does not have a basic foundation in reading, phonics, etc.......

At wits end...I cannot coach him personally as I'm a working mother & also lack of patience...

              Need advise URGENTLY.....

              Thanks in Advance~~~
My child is currently learning ELA on beestar website. It costs $20 per semester. The online worksheets is an excellent idea and she likes it very much. Text has nice simple fonts and the pictures and graphs are to the point not distracting.
              Lisa

Hi, I may want to spend some time reading bed time stories with him. When I came aus, teacher feeedbacked that my girl’s eng std was not good though her math is one yr ahead. So I started to read to her everyday. Her eng level has since increased from 14 to near 20 within 6 mth here. Now she is the only one using higher level reader in class.

Reading is important. It definitely helps. It really takes time and effort to do it...

I heard the wait list is long. You may refer to iCL thread.

Personally, I think ICL for P1 is not really as fascinating as compared to their preschool programme. But I guess it might depend on the Teacher as well.

On the materials content alone, I would say its pretty close to what you in most schools and the usual assessment books. If you’re looking for "extra" edge, then its not the most ideal choice.
