Have been busy these 2 days with work. I started noticing my son in 1F getting moody these few days. He kept saying he’s having stomache. This evening, he started crying and said he wanted to be with his "gor gor". Oh dear, I realised he’s sad abt the fact that he’s no longer with his brother in the same class just like before. I tried to pacify him and will continue to do so this weekend. Will also bring him to doc abt his stomache pain tomorrow.
Hi Honey, I saw in the Marist planner that the kids have to complete a journal this weekend. Did your son mention the details on the journal? My boy seems to be clueless and said "dunno, not sure"
On the other hand, I’m very pleased with my other son Form Teacher of 1G. Each class has a blog and the teacher actually updates the 1G blog everyday. Through the blog, i know the daily feed of 1G and homework required. It’s very useful cos my older boy also the "dunno" type of kid.

VVJJ, sorry to learn about your son’s seperation anxiety issue from his brother. I suppose once he is more familiar with the other boys, he’ll be enjoying himself in the class in no time. They can come out to play after they finish their food so maybe you can tell your older boy to wait for him outside 1F?
My son happily played & did his journal at the same time (I imagine that cos I saw his homework & some toys next to it) y’day afternoon while I was away for a hair cut with his sister. He called my HP to ask how to spell this & that. It is about Myself. He said write 5 lines & actually counted the lines & wrote the no. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the left side of the page. Each line consisted of just of a few words (his handwriting is quite big). I told him 5 lines could be 5 sentences & told him to add more to it. After a few more lines, he said it’s enough & went on to draw a pic of himself on the left.
Wondering if I should just leave his punctuation & spelling errors alone & let the teacher see his actual work & correct him from there.
Didn’t know about the class blog. Must check it out. -
Hi Honey,
We finished his journal this morning. He wrote 5 sentences.. Initially he didn;t want to tell me much but after that, he knows he has to finish it no matter what. Not sure what happen to him but when he went for his wushu class this afternoon, he said he has stomach pain again and refused to come out from the car. I was really frustated as this is already his 3rd year and he has no problems going for his wushu pratice weekly. Imagine teachers having to pacify him and I need to send my daughter for her first art class art in NAFA at the same time.
I corrected his english error. Though I know i should leave it as it is but I thought we parents have the responsibility to go through with them as they can try to remember on the spot rather than waiting for teacher to correct it.

VVJJ, thank you so much for letting me in on 1G’s blog. I am really impressed with the teacher’s dedication to dutifully update & keep parents posted on what goes on in the class. We should write or ask Mdm Kala about the blog. It’s really helpful for us parents.
I had the same mind as you about correcting on the spot. Asked ds to show dh (I wanted son to personally let daddy know about his work & let daddy knows about son’s thoughts), dh wanted to correct but I held him back partly cos I wanted to see how the treacher would mark the piece of work. We will update on this. -

Wow, the teacher really puts in effort to update the parents about what's going on. I am impressed. When you say \"each class has a blog\", does it mean the blog page is already created on MSHS's website and it depends on whether the teacher updates it?
My son is also in class 1F, same as your son and Honey's son. Hope to share notes....alas, I have also been rather busy with work...reaching home around 8-8.30pm in the last week...hardly have time to spend with my son. Hope to do better going forward.
Thanks. -
It’s ok. I found out the answer by typing over the 1g in the blog URL to alphabet of other class. All classes have blogs updated except for 1A, 1C and 1F.

I could be wrong but she doesn't seems to be the kind of teacher that updates blog...
Let's give her another week... but I know my son says she's not a funny kind of teacher. Maybe his kindergarten teachers are younger and energetic...
