U are really very considerate. Not many parents are like u.
I make my kid walk that short distance to school instead of
getting caught up in the traffic.
But anyway, I have communicated many times with the school management with photo evidence. They are actually having regular feedback with TP and so the current traffic looping and drop off in school is a result of many discussions. Certain roads were changed to one-way traffic permanently or for certain hours. Worse conditions were during dismissal time and worst was when the kindergarten was using the NYPS premises (now they have moved back to their own newly rebuilt premises, phew !). There are also parents who park outside the residents and clean their car there, leaving their rubbish behind, there are also parents who damage the residents' property and just drive away (hit and run) -

It is a nightmare, and many parents are parked along Coronation Road by 12.30!! We've decided to walk to school in the mornings, and I pick him up at 2 to avoid the jam. If the weather were more pleasant I'd walk to school too to pick him up but it's just way too scorching.U are really very considerate. Not many parents are like u.

It's just astounding how tempers flare, and how some parents just barge their way through the narrow lanes and I've witness scrapes between cars and shouting matches as a result - well, what do you expect when you ngeh ngeh lai?? I've also seen people who barge their way in having to reverse a long distance because there's just no way to move forward! Serves them right!
Some won't let their kids walk one car's length before the school gate! THey're waiting behind someone letting their kid off and they can let their kid off too but they wait till that car has moved off then inch forward, stop and let their kid off!! Argghh!!! I'm just astounded that they can set such bad examples for their kids. -

you are absolutely right - some parents are setting very bad examples for the kids who will grow up to be like themIt is a nightmare, and many parents are parked along Coronation Road by 12.30!! last year one of the traffic warden was hit by one of the parents' car - fortunately nothing major. there was another traffic warden who really meant business and DISALLOWED the car in the wrong direction to pass, resulting in a huge shouting match with the VP coming out. Some of the expats behave as if their grandfather own the road, esp those angmo's wives - seen enuf!
I just deleted those photos recently, haha -
 No wonder they need PVs to be traffic wardens.

Ya they need more PVs to be traffic warden, traffic is really bad, if everyone would to co-operate it would be better definately.

Last last few days have seen the Principal and VP on the roadside too. The new principal is probably for the first time seeing the arrival scene in the morning ...... -
Just wondering…did any of you sign up your P1 kids for any of the enrichment programs held in the school?

I signed up my DS1 for chess training last year. His first foray into the international chess world! They also had chess lessons in class for some of the periods (forgot during which lesson). He had fun pitching his training against his classmates.
Later on in the year, if your kid shows potential, he/she might be invited to join the Dance/Choir teams (by invitation only!)
