      hi kopiying,

are you referring to the one that was next to Bt Merah library? That one moved to Clementi (now roaring biz I heard). Beach road also got nice claypot rice.

I'm not. All who truly know their claypot would agree with me too. Check makansutra for example. Anyway, claypot burnt rice aren;t supposed to be charcoal black but charred.

yup...the best part of claypot rice is the charred part at the bottom...brown and crispy!! That also give claypot rice the extra fragrance!!

I think what is missing from alot of 'modern' claypot rice is the pork lard oil...that, along with dark soya sauce is good enough to make the rice really yummy!! 😄

        :celebrate: :celebrate: :celebrate:

strange that no one recommended the Geyland Claypot Rice located at 639, Geyland Lorong 33. The claypot rice is genuinely cooked in the claypot. But going there means need to plan ahead due to the long waiting time especially during meal hours thus had not been there for a while.

Nope, the one at Redhill Mkt food centre. Opp the row of shophouses. Taste not bad though not the best and price is reasonable.

Some time ago they did feature in TV that Outram has nice claypot rice too. anyone tried?

There’s this place at the building beside the Red Dot at Tg Pagar called the Clay Abode.

Just went there with colleagues, everyone enjoyed their rice. The rice is moist and flavourful and the chicken pieces are soft and boneless too.

A portion for per person shd be in the range of $8-$9 though… So do not expect your hawker pricing.

But you can phone them to order your food in advance.
