Well, at least your distribution of resources between your 2 children is fair

which school charge $210/mth halfday kindergarten, but is not proficient enough to teach phonics, chinese and art? or is it halfday childcare?? with the amount you spent on enrichment (which seems to cover all aspects), have you consider going for cheaper kindergarten programme? -
5 years old:
Kindergarten: S$215/month
Wushu: S$52/month
Arts: S$30/month
1.5 year old:
Shichida: S$265/month
Full-day childcare with transport: S$333/month
Total: S$895
Finishing Shichida T4 by end of mar 2009 and stopping DS1's Arts (becoming more like handicraft session than Art lesson). So I can foresee some savings of S$300/month.
But of course, will need to do more enrichment with them liao...

Doesn't handicraft enhance fine motor skills which is important for children of young age? -

Hi Chief,
Of course it does! Just that I'm already teaching him to do handicrafts from the books i've bought for him.
So wanted him to learn drawing, shading and expressing in the lesson. Not handicrafts. -
Hello kitty, new to this thingy and apologies if sound blunt, may i know more about those classes that u send teachers to your place. how do u get all these teachers?
To all, my princess is 16m, i’d like her to be all-rounder, what’s good enrichment? any suggestions… -

It is a Church Kindergarten near my place, 4 hours program, very traditional pre-school education. That is the cheapest Kinder around liao (except childcare which I did not consider as I prefer Kinder enviorment for kids) Since I have down graded her from NAFA, and have more budget for enrichment so I would continue with the rest of programs outside the school, she enjoys all these and the benefit is obvious.
