      Hi,

I am registering my gal to Xingnan for PI in 2014. May I know if any parents here sending your kid to a nearby student care who are \"not too bad\"? Perhaps it is hard to determine good one, but definitely not hard to condemn the bad ones...if you want do drop me a few lines at [email protected].

      Thank you.

is there any regulations that if child back fm CCA (aft 4pm) to student care, they are not allowed to shower? i was told this rules applied to all BASC in Spore?

Is this true? it is very ridiculous!!!

DStar address: Blk 729 Jurong West Ave 5 #B1-214, Singapore 640729. Do you know is there any branch for little Professors near Jurong West St 61?

hi, any feedback on the school base centre at Westwood Pri? Heard it’s Proteach. Is it good?

Also, which is better? school base centre or those outside the school?

Have made up my mind and got it sorted out after the ballot results.

Between school base and outside school BASC, I’ve chosen the latter based on the followings:
                      - Outside school BASC provides better flexibility, i.e. longer operating hours till 7pm, open on Saturday and no closure on certain school holidays where we parents still have to work (save us some annual leaves)
                      - High staff and student turnover rate in that particular school base BASC where my girl will be studying.
                      - Can mix with students from other schools which may enhance her social skills.

With the above, embarked on my adventure yesterday to explore the few BASCs which are near my house, some are recommended by our fellow folks here.

Have registered my little one with DStar based on the following observations:
                      - As pointed out by some of you here, they have qualified teachers. Furthermore, the teacher-student ratio is the lowest among the few centres which I’ve visited.
                      - All are female teachers. Plus point since mine is a girl.
                      - Very focus on homework and tuition which is my key consideration.
                      - Clean and conducive environment and the lighting is bright.
                      - Individual classroom for different level.
                      - Generous dining area compared to other centres (some of them are just pathetic)
                      - Good school holiday programs. Can see the pics on the wall along the stairway and from the sharing by the centre supervisor.

One big item settled. Now exploring her Chinese tuition as she is weak in the subject. Any good recommendations from anyone here?

                        Hi,

Appears that there are a few Xingnanians in this thread for 2014. My son is attending Xingnan next year too and I am staying at street 61. I am looking for a decent student care for him too and would really appreciate some advice. I only know of whispering hearts and YMCA around my area.
