As mentioned in the P1 registration thread, already 72 registered as at 11am! -
Publica:
There were 104 vacancies for 2C last year. This year, only 75. I think there will not be many seats left for citizens above 2km.HTCblues:
Oh No, more parents subscript to it this year.

You are right, more seat taken up from 2B (Parent-volunteering).

With all the good comments in this thread, including yours.... Am not surprise the take up rate will surge
There were more 2B applicants this year as compared to last year. Wonder why. We chose SMPS cos we didn't want our little girl to be in a pressure cooker but instead to just enjoy growing up in a nurturing environment

I am >2km and I registered for PV in Nov 2011 to put my dd in P1 (2014 intake). Was then called up for βlollipopβ duties in Mar 2012. -

I did some homework by asking friends working in educational institutions abt SMPS and was told about the nurturing environment and the emphasis of good values versus academic results. We understood that we couldn't have the whole cake and eat it. So we agreed that it was more important for our dd to have a strong values foundation to being a wholesome person when she grows up. Everything else can build from there
