Hi All!
First of all, I would like to thank you for your time. As a bit of background, I am currently a PhD student from Nanyang Technological University studying the effects of computer character (agents) on intergenerational behaviour.
I have created a virtual world for students to learn about the Lower Secondary Science topics of Osmosis and Diffusion. For one of my studies, I require pairs of testers from different generations to help me test my system. For example, a father and son pair, grandfather and grandson pair, niece and aunt pair etc, as long as they are from different generations. It would be prefereable for the younger of the pair to be between Primary 5 (ages 10-11) and Secondary 2 (ages 13-14).
Testing of the system will take about 20 minutes followed by a survey which will take about 15 minutes. As a token of appreciation for your time, each pair of testers will be presented with $15 worth of NTUC or Macdonalds vouchers depending on your preference.
All details will be kept confidential and no user details will be disclosed in the writing of the thesis. In my thesis, all testers will be referred to by an ID, eg Youth A and Senior A, to refer to each pair of participants. A softcopy of the thesis and results will be provided (after submission) upon request.
Location of testing will be either
a) Nanyang Technological University or
b) A public space of your choosing near MRT, eg MacDonalds or Library etc (will arrange upon contact) -
