Travel: Australia - Sydney

kayemoss:
The usual places are blue mountains (kids shd enjoy the railway/tramway) , hunter valley (if you like wine), opera house, harbour bridge, harbour cruise, the rocks (there is a market there on weekends), Sydney aquarium, darling harbour etc etc. if you are not sure what to do there, easiest is go to one or two travel agents to pick up their brochure and steal their ideas! Have fun!We are going to Sydney in Dec, travelling with DDs 5yr old & 9mths old...
Any places to suggest and tips to share! TIA~

Hi all… we will be in Sydney for 10 days in April with 2 young kids. Haven’t book anything yet… welcome suggestions, please.

This site has a couple of ideas on what to do in Sydney with kids, other than the usual: http://www.suitcasesandstrollers.com/articles/view/family-days-out-in-sydney

Hi wld like to check if its cheaper to purchase day tour packages via internet or via e visitor centres when we reach sydney. Tks!
-
I realised that car rental is very cheap - so we are renting a car to go out of Sydney and staying in Blue Mountain for a couple of days. Don’t have answer to your question yet (re day trips) but some admission tickets e.g. zoo are cheaper buying online.

Yup, car rental is pretty reasonable, all through Australia. Be careful re their speed limits though - we learnt that being over the limits by 15km is enough to land us a 120AUD fine!

Anyone tried flying scoot to Sydney? How is it?
If say we book online (flight and all), how do we arrange for eta? Also online via aust immigration website? -
Yes. Visa apply through eta.
