I too wonder why do they need to change the bookshop vendor. The auntie is really nice, very patient and will advise what needs to buy and what needs not. And the things are cheaper too right?
WERE....things were cheaper.
Haiz...wonder what else is going to increase (not salary for sure). My friend just told me her kid's school raised canteen prices becos of increase in ingredients, transport etc prices. I am not sure if HWS canteen has gone the same way.
Just brooding. Will we find that one day our kids need kopitiam cards becos their school canteen is now operated by kopitiam (or any of the others...I have no particular preference). :gloomy: :sad:

If the school had informed the parents of it’s plan abt the bookshop vendor earlier, I would have feedback to the school about the nice Aunty. I took it for granted that the bookshop and Aunty will be a fixture of HW while my kids are there.

Very true. Bookshop aunties are usually taken as a fixture/tradition of the school. I am obviously not the businessman type material…never did try to imagine that Popular will try to muscle its way into school bookshops.

Saw the two bookshop aunties helping out at the noodle stall ytd. The sch is nice to keep the workers.

A bit quiet on the HWS front eh.
To liven things up, upcoming is the mid-autumn night. For charity sale this year, I had sent in a lot of books. A few Peter and Janes, a couple of Morpurgo, some Chinese storybooks that I bought extra (sealed even) and many others. Most are stuff meant for a tad younger audience (kindy and below probably).
Not sure how much the school will sell them for but figure it’ll be going for a song. Condition is good and books complete (no missing pages). So parents who wish to pad up their house library with reads for their younger kids, please make your way down to HWS on that night (sorry, I forgot the date also). -
Hi. I heard that the school now has two vice principal. Anybody know if it is true? Is there a plan to change the current principal who has been here since 1999?

My P4 boy today told me feel like Mr Ngoh will left the school. Bcau they will sing a song abt " When you are gone…"!!!

And my 1st & 2nd boy told me the new VP is better then old VP. Old VP keep scolding people!
What will happen to HWS if one day Mr Ngoh really left the school!!! -
