I am very hygiene conscious, example, I will try to go as early as they open shop, be the 1st customer of the day to use the sink… cos the foot sink is at least left dry over night. If not possible to go early, I will get them to spray alcohol all over the foot sink, especially the 排水口 there where all the germs harbour, and left for 5 mins before allowing them to fill up the water. Kiasi, me!

        Harlequin:

I bought mine from the nail spa... the cuticle nipper, nail file, nail buff, nail cutter, toe separater, foot file etc...

Used to bring home after use, but now I am lazy so just leave the whole pouch in the nail spa, they do tagged every customer's pouch.

For the cuticle nipper, best one is from Vietnam, don't buy the Israel one, the tip chipped easily.... Best if you got any friends going to Vietnam, tumpang them to buy, only 3 US$.... the same one is selling at $42 in the nail spa I go to, faintz! So high mark up
        :thankyou:

Never have Pedi/Mani in my life, prefer to spend $$ on massage/facial/foot reflex.

Yesterday, dh and I went to JB for Thai massage 90Rm for 1.5 hrs. It was our 3rd visit. It’s much cheaper than those package in Sg reflexology.

oic. It is important. I know a lady whose husband is a clinical podiatrist. She told me she never goes for mani and pedi because her husband would have so many stories about patients who were infected at these nail places. Ever since then, I dare not go too. I do love the look though. If there is a reputable place (where they SCRUB the sink and really sterilise all the towels and equipment), then I will consider.

                  My day off today.

Pottered around in the garden for about an hour. Loosening soil, picking off pests, fertilising, pruning and harvesting some lime, curry leaves and basil. I know sunny days are better for the plants but I prefer this kind of cool cloudy drizzly days.

Sipping on hot green tea now, enjoying the peace.

Kids will be back in about an hour.
