SBKS, the me time though which I thought I initially quite enjoyed was not worth the aftermath. Like you, I always believe me time does good for the body, mind and soul & I've always been the one encouraging him to have these me time. To run (within neighborhood and event events). I waited for him at the finish line (for a few hours) during one SunDown event in wee hrs of the morning bearing cool isotonic drinks for him n his friend. I encouraged him to pursue photography (he was pretty good at it actually) for aesthetic pleasure and also peace of mind. I encouraged him to join music competitions when I realized his band was pretty good. I just believe in supporting him in the positive things that can act as a breather off from work.

It's ok I didn't get the same support in return but I am happy if he's happy. Today marks the day, I'm officially drained from being the only one giving one-sided support, encouragement and suggestions.

I doubt I would be having any more me time anytime soon, so u guys take care. Take this thread back to how it was supposed to be... the sharing of all our me time. :please: I will continue reading all your sharings and bask in them, share your moments liddat la. Ok? šŸ˜‰
ok understand. we are in the same boat.

Now am trying to practise what I learnt from the 5 love languages book and hopefully, what we are doing is filling up our spouse's love tank.

What programmes did you plan for your kids?

going out with them and spending time. like visiting attractions and go to the beach. come back and back breaking. DD2 tink falling sick and keep asking us to carry her and wants DW only. Dont want me to carry.

when DD2 dun get wat she wants she starts to 😢 . very :frustrated: :stompfeet: :slapshead: :stupid: . feel like :nunchuk: .

but 1 of the days, PIL managed to help us take care of them and we got the night off. Went to catch \"That Girl in Pinafore\". so nice. thats couple time.

            That's so nice.

Holidays and weekend are family time for us. We were away in JB for part of this long weekend. Naturally the trip is geared more for the kids with kid centric activities. Would have been rather enjoyable if DH had not been sulky throughout. He does not like driving into JB. Wonder why he agreed to buy the house in JB if that was the case. 🤷 Then when at the house, he stayed upstairs in the room with his ipad throughout, coming down only for meals or when we were heading out. My parents and my sis were there with us, my friend drove in to join us for the day and we went to LEGOLAND, he pulled a long face throughout. My family know his pattern well and basically ignored him. I almost snapped at him when the kids were commenting excitedly on some of the stuff they did at LEGOLAND and he told them off saying 'yah you enjoy! This ride fun! That ride exciting! You know while you guys are having so much fun, I had to wait under the hot sun!' The kids clamped up immediately. DH saw my dagger stares at him and stopped venting on the kids.

When he is in this kind of mood, I am glad he will be going away for business trip. :boogie: Yup, he is flying off again tomorrow. So a lot more ME time again. :imcool:

DH also doesn't like to go to JB because of the crime. Now after reading today's newspaper, he said we shouldn't go to KL too

KL and Penang is scary now.

So far our trips up to JB has been pretty ok. We have to go in once in a while to maintain the house. And since there, might as well make the most of it.
