There’s one student care at lorong chuan area in bethesda Christian church. My son is from Marist, he is in there.
The pricing is very reasonable, the place is clean as well. My son used to go to Batley Christian Church studentcare. The fee is expensive plus there are a few teachers there are irresponsible. My son was p1 last year learn a lot of nonsense from there and handwriting was from bad to worst. Everyday after he come back from Bartley Christian Church student care his whole uniform black! As you know Marist uniform is full white. 6mths later I found bsc from a parent also from kiasu parent’s forum, it was so much better. Can shower also can nap in the afternoon. My son told me there are a few chij girls there as well. My girl will be there next year too. -

Hi all,
coincidentally the orientation @ 9 nov will be the same time with my DD K2 graduation concert, based on previous years orientation is it compulsory for DD to attend it ?
Will the school provide any other day for buying uniform or ordering the books ?
We live in AMK < 2km from the school, any idea how much roughly the school bus fee ? will school bus arrangement also on the orientation day ? -
betmen:
In my daughter's year they had a \"pre-orientation\" where you could also buy uniform but I would say that it is important for her to attend orientation if possible as she will have the chance to meet her class and her teacher, find out where her classroom is etc.Hi all,

Books can be ordered online and delivered for a small delivery fee. Normally bus arrangement will be done at orientation but I'm sure you can also call them to arrange. You can go to the suppliers to order the uniform if you really need to. -
hi nms1,
thanks for the reply,
yup i agree that the orientation is important for her, we are so excited to attend this event
till yesterday received letter from her kindergarten about the graduation's date. Actually in the letter they already mentioned that for kids who need to go for orientation in their primary schools should report to their teacher. However, DD will perform on the stage, so we need to think about other alternatives since we don't want DD miss the performance. We'll see, we will try to contact the OLGC admin as well. -
Hi
It is indeed heartening to note that all comments from CLGC/OLGC parents are positive. Nonetheless, appreciate if parents with feedback for improvement could share.
My gal is currently in P1 and I am thinking of transferring her into CLGC/OLGC. Appreciate inputs/sharing of:
1) how is school atmosphere nowadays? In terms of interaction among students and between them and school staff? Overall feel of the place?
2) Character development and values emphasis?
3) are the teachers and principal mostly past students of CLGC/OLGC/IJ?
4) what is school hours? Report to school by 720am or is that silent reading time?
5) how active is PSG in school? Are parents welcome in school in terms of partnering in events and student development?
6) proper music and art taught in respective lessons? Ie not trashy stuff like pop songs or YouTube videos
7) how much efforts does teachers put in to TEACH the students? Or they will advise parents to go enrichment to catch up?
is Chinese taught well? I read in earlier comments that there is no HCL offered?
Sorry for the torrent of questions.
I really do not wish to repeat the mistakes that I had left for my elder son.
