Welcome!
We are happy with the school so far. I hope your dd will have a good experience, too.
Anyway, with the priority for citizens, I think the P1 registration exercise has become a a more pleasant experience in the Tiong Bahru/Bukit Merah area. So hopefully your sons will get into a good school, too. -

Hi TeapotHi All,
Will be sending my gal to Kellock next year. Initially I was half hearted, as she has 2 younger brothers and I cannot imagine going thru the whole P1 exercise again.
But now, I'm really looking forward to her starting school and embarking on another milestone in her life!
Hope to know more mummies from this school.
Cheers.
My gal will be entering Kellock next year too. Hopefully, she will adapt well to P1.
Do you have any idea when's the orientation? -

With regards to the confirmation letter you received ==> is it just the registration form (1st page) that we filled in when we did our registration previously?
For the orientation, any idea how long will it take? Cos have to see if can just take half day leave or not

Hi Liza9841,
No. I recd the formal letter from the sch that my child has successfully selected n only mention to bring our child on that day. No other info given except date n time. I read from earlier thread, previous yrs p1 orientation, took abt few hrs orientation (3-4 hrs??). Not sure is still the same for this P1 batch. Any mummies can enlighten us? -
Hi everyone.my dd will be in chij kellock next year. hope we can exchange more info here!!

Hi,
Can somebody shed light regarding CHIJ Kellock affiliations with religious convents - it is an MOE school, right? Does that mean they teach religion in classrooms? If so, are those classes mandatory? Do parents need to have certain religious affiliations to enroll their kids to such schools? A bit lost regarding this aspect. -
Any of you manage to find a BASC?

Check this out!
CHIJ Kellocks will be upgraded from Nov 2013 to Dec 2015. Will hold temporarily at former New Town Sec from Jan 2016 to Dec 2017.
who is affected? -
This is the part that is confusing for dh and me: the school building will be upgraded upto Dec 2015 and then will move to a temporary building?!
Doubtlessly, we will be affected. Our dd's school bus comes between 7:05 and 7:15 am atm. After the move, it will come much earlier. So that means an earlier waking time and possible morning stress.
